Capricciosa Ristorante Italiano @ Pavillion KL
Voila! It’s another round of Italian
cuisine again! So this time we headed to Capricciosa at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur,
which has recently beautified its existing menu display as well some additional
wall décor that we could observe :D
Welcome to the whole new Ristorante dItaliano Capricciosa Pasta &
Pizza!
As usual, this eatery is packed with diners
especially during lunch hour. So call ourselves lucky as we were able to secure
a table for two upon our arrival. When dining here, you definitely won’t go
wrong with selection of their pasta, pizza and dessert.
After browsing through the new menu, we ended
up with each of the in house signature dish, i.e. : Salmon pasta from Pasta
Fresca category, and as for Pizze’s group would be this Quattro Formaggi.
(At one point, this new design of its cover page, reminded me the
same by Spaghetti Grill at Mid Valley, hehe, which is also serving delicious
Italian food)
The
first dish to arrive was Fettuccine with Salmon in Tomato Cream Sauce.
The pasta was al dente and very chewy as
they are freshly made daily from the kitchen. Thus, you need to wait awhile
upon order before the pasta dish is read to be served. The accompanied chunks
of salmon were fresh and flavorful when eaten with their special homemade
tomato cream sauce. You might find some of the fish cutlets bit fishy as I
think they are just blanched with hot water so as to preserve its natural
sweetness. So, it’s best to go with its savory sauce which I think is very
special for there is a balance fusion of white cream and tomato puree,
otherwise cloying creaminess of the gravy. Ma ma mia!
Also, all fresh pasta would come with the
soup of the day and 2 pieces of garlic toast. Even though I think the bread
should be toasted slightly longer for the aroma to emerge, the minestrone soup
was enough to compensate this lacking. It was very appetizing and with some
aromatic herbs aftertaste.
Soon the long awaited crown of the table
greeted us! It’s the Quattro Formaggi, which is my favourite!^^
The pizza was baked with four types of
cheese! For any cheese fanatics out there, it’s totally awesome! This 12-inches
dough was nicely baked with the right thickness, and then topped off with
varieties of cheeses. You could actually see several chunky cheeses were spread
evenly and they all together melted perfectly on the pizza. It was creamy and
delish with the gooey enjoyment. I think the pizza would be more vivified if
some basils were added. Together they made a good marriage! ^^
A totally cheese-infusing sensation indeed!
Grazie! ^^
