LWIN LEE | Epicuro_Revisit @ Damansara Uptown
It feels so
warm and comfy to be back again at Epicuro!
Of course am
longing for its delectable arrays of passionately prepared culinary affairs
besides its cozy environment that could unlax any worn out souls………………and
tummy as well, ahem! ( =
Compared to
the previous trip at night, where the kitchen is open 6pm onwards, the mood set
by the afternoon hours creates a totally different but equally gleeful vibes,
more soothing and mellow , accompanied by some groups of vis-à-vis session from
nearby tables. Everyone seems to be indulging sensuously, away from the hustle
and bustle of city life, for once, the precious unruffled moment are without
any gizmo interruption, except my Lumix
^_^
Reason being,
we are pampering the sweet tooth in ourselves during their “Cake o’ Clock” treat, yeah! This particular coffee plus dessert temptations
comes from only MYR 15, from 3 – 6pm
daily! Isn’t it such a deal to steal for? Me, for one, are in, as I truly feel
the sincerity as part of their F&B ingredients, soup for the soul? So grab
it now, just like the adage goes, “May hays while the sun shines” right?
After
settling down comfortably, I instantly know what I wanna have, the latest
addition to the shelves, Chunky Nutella!
One would
definitely bowled over by its decadent hint of Nutella with fluffily soft
chocolate cake to complement it. Good that it is not too saccharine but done
just the right way that allows you to enjoy the chocolate richness temperately.
A nutty hazelnut is seen to top it off glamorously.
As for the Chocolate Banana, remains another
exemplary confectionary over here. I usually don’t quite fancy the fruit when
paired with cakes, however, this is good, really! The banana slices is not too
soft but still maintain its yellowish colour decently, sandwiched humbly in
between the chocolate cake layers, which is then spiced up with some thin layer
of chocolate ganache on its exterior. Great job!
As for the
coffee enjoyment, we choose Affagato and Café Mocha to pair with the chocolaty
slices respectively.

Coming up
next is somewhat rather awe-inspiring to a coffee lover like me. The espresso
shot that comes with a homemade caramel ice cream, has totally blown me off
with its intense full bodied tang and robust flavor. You get that amplified
woody sip as you roll around in our mouth. There is also some caramel-like
aroma in the aftertaste that is further heightened up with its velvet creamy
Caramel ice cream, that is freshly homemade. They really makes such a good
marriage. To sum it up, it’s just a pure bliss! You gotta try it out for
yourself.
As usual, before
we finally reach here. we would have made several turnings at the square here
earlier, haha. No thanks to the constant road reconstruction at Uptown area that
sometimes really drives us up on the wall, but at the same time, allure us with
its massive delectable offers that actually got us into dilemma :) Anyway, just
remember, Epicuro is located along
CIMB or AmBank, so hopefully it smoothen your navigation yeah!
I have had my
fair share of pleasant epicurean journey at Epicuro so far. Guess it just strikes the right chord over here. When is your turn? Do drop by one of these days ^_^
Anyway, am
already aiming to be back again for its pesto pasta, gosh, I miss it again this
time as kitchen is closed for the dessert hour. But one thing remain unchanged,
the affableness of the bonhomous staff here who never fails to bring smile to
your day.
Cheers for
now folks!
