LWIN LEE | Crave @ Oasis Square, Ara Damansara
Dragging feet out of the bed on an early weekend morning
has never been easy especially if you have had a late night’s sleep the day
before =) You would then tend to segue to some hearty brunch spots to sorta get
yourself freshen up in a way. Best if you do not need to brave through any
traffic snarls synonym to the city and there is where this humble establishment
fits into the picture perfectly.
Bearing a bold brand name, CRAVE greets customers genially as waitresses roam around the sunbeam-lit
interiors gleefully with cups of freshly crafted coffee as well as plates of
inviting repast. Cozy Australian-influenced ambience accompanied by some
melodious tunes, complemented with comfy couch, serves as an ideal alcove to
unlax oneself. Thanks to review invitation from Nomster, that this café is now
unveiled at the relatively new neighbourhood of Oasis Square.
Love the boomerang-inspired curios :)
Over here, guests gets to familiarize themselves
palatably with quality artisan coffee beans, harvested from Toby's Estate
award-winning leafy plantations that are located at both Central and Southern
America regions. Known for its famous single blend; Woolloomooloo, this eclectic mix gives rise to an earthy and rich
aroma, full bodied and flavorsome, with tastes of caramel and spice.
David, the man behind this Aussie umber oasis, sharing with
us his passion and love towards Toby’s Coffee.
Weekend definitely called for some caffeine kick
first, to start off the day ( =
Just so in time while we were waiting for the
breakfast meals to be freshly prepared in the kitchen.
Latte (MYR 9)
Chai Latte (MYR 10)
~ Unique blend of Chai infusion with milk, which could
be tad creamy and rich in a way.
Dirty Chai Latte (MYR 12)
~ An enlightening shot of Toby’s coffee; smooth and spicy blend
with lots of attitude!
Macchiato (MYR 7)
~ A taste of the rich seasonal blend; Woolloomooloo
Espresso Blend- Toby’s signature
Cappuccino (MYR 9)
~ Rounded taste for a memorable gourmet experience
~ tasting the earthy, caramel tails of the
Woolloomooloo blend
Or perhaps some Fruit Juices ? (MYR 6 each)
Clockwise- Orange, Apple and Guava
Or perhaps some Fruit Juices ? (MYR 6 each)
Clockwise- Orange, Apple and Guava
Soon, it’s time to welcome the splendid array of
sumptuous culinary affair for that morning.
Breakfast Set Menu (served all day from 8 am to 3pm)
Lunch Set Menu (served from 11 am to 3pm)
Crave’s Big Breakfast (MYR 22)
~ Comes with 2 sunny side up eggs, sausages, beef
bacon, baked beans, roasted tomatoes and mushroom served with toasted ciabatta.
~ Thumbs up goes specifically to the sautéed fresh
mushrooms which have been wonderfully spiced up with fragrant herbs and hint of
buttery. Everyone was raving about it enthusiastically!
Pancakes with Caramelized Banana (MYR 12)
~ Gracefully drizzled with maple syrup with a dollop
of melt-in-your-mouth butter, or you could also opt for Strawberry preserve if
you wish. The engaging nutty bites actually keep you craving for more!
Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon on Focaccia Bread
(MYR 18)
~ Salmon comes with very mild smokiness, lying on a
bed of balmy beaten eggs, which would taste better if more audacious seasonings
like black pepper, herbs etcetera are added into the scrambled eggs.
New Kid on the Block!
Egg and Beef Bacon with Mashed Avocado on Ciabata
Bread (Price N/A)
~ Suitable for light eater or any health conscious folks.
Avocado is coarsely mashed to give a varied texture as a whole.
Seabass in Spicy Cream Sauce (MYR 15)
~ Cutlets of lightly battered fried fish are juicily enjoyable,
accompanied by herby rice of rosemary-enriched, alongside a cautiously-stacked saporous
greens companion in rectangular tower.
Green Chicken Pesto (MYR 18)
~ A luscious plate of pasta in my favourite pesto
sauce, laced with tender chicken breasts in the meek creaminess.
~ Slightly richer version than thue aglio olio pesto
style at Muugu and Epicuro- which i shall update the review for its pesto soon, so stay tuned :)
Chicken Parmigiana (MYR 22)
~ Two slab of huge and voluptuous fried chicken
breast, coated with melted cheese upon baking the meat in savory tomato puree
and ratatouille. If more zestiness were to tweak into the gravy, it would be
much better deliciously.
Eventually, dessert treats seems beckoning to round up
the day on a sweet note.
Carrot Slice (MYR 7)
In a nutshell, food and beverages are pleasantly decent
and worth exploring.
Crave’s Dirty Chai Latte for one, could be touted as crème de la crème amongst the cups that we had
on that day. I personally loves it so much, somewhat deviates astoundingly from
the usual Dirty that I have at WA Café previously.
Worth trying, really!
