LWIN LEE | OLLE CAFE – 쿠알라룸푸르 @ Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.

For those who are looking for a drink at the end of a long day at work, OLLE CAFE provides one of the best respite to rejuvenate oneself.  Owned by two Korean natives, this vintage café operates at the largely expatriate-densed locality of Sri Hartams, sharing the same row as Backofen- one of my all-time favorite spot as well, so do check out the relevant posts too.

‘Olle’ is actually a narrow pathway surrounding Jeju island, where you get to enjoy the picturesque and splendid beach scenery as you stroll along the coastal roads. The routes pass through various landscapes along the way, including small villages, beaches, farms, forests and parasitic volcanoes. Oh, this again relives back the sweet and memorable vacation in Jeju island few years back. Beautiful…………………..

Alright, back to the present.....hehe. :)

OLLE CAFÉ upholds a simple philosophy;

The pathway to the nature is here.
Anytime come and take a time”

Assuredly, there is an unparalleled offering from this 7 months’ old cafe when it comes to coffee to tease your taste bud exquisitely. Houseblend used includes Ethopian, South America, Korean and other single origins.

“Keopi juseyo!” – Please give me a cup of coffee please :)

Bamboo Salt Latte- R (MYR 12)
After the recent hoopla of salted flairs such as salted caramel, salted popcorns (it’s true!), salted chips (pun intended ^^) or even salted choc (so far US has it, but not KL yet);  now that this unique blend has come into the picture, it has instantly aroused the curiosity in me!

Yeah, you heard it right! Salted coffee! :)

Honestly, I utterly chortled upon sipping it for the first time, hehe. Definitely not your average cup of Joe if you are not a food adventurer,  as it might best regarded as an acquired cup of taste (=.

The taste could be inexplicable with salinity overpowering than the coffee itself. Only did I find out later from Shah, the barista, that only 1g of Korean Bamboo Salt is enough to give such mind-boggling experience. Even himself also chuckled that this rendition is still quite a challenge for himself, lolz. Of date, this new recipe is only 1 weeks’ old on the chalkish menu board during the visit, so let’s see if it could win over more humble culinary-salted gourmand.

Nonetheless, we has gotten a good hoo-ha out of this sui generis experience, not failing to spark some interest amongst my social network acquaintances after I posted this cup up! :)

Otherwise, you still could opt for the evergreen latte to spice up your coffee moment.

Caffe Hazelnut Latte- R (MYR 11)
Delightfully pleasing with the engaging hazelnut aroma.
Undeniably, Klang Valley folks have indeed developed a penchant for coffee enthusiasm interestingly with the advent of many audacious coffee cuppings springing up day by day.

After enjoying the afternoon sensuously and granting the tummy a quick time-out from La Cocina  awhile earlier, we soon sequel to another darling spot, Epicuro!

Kamsahamnida!!
