Established early this year, YEZI 椰子 STEMBOAT has been greeting the folks around Klang Valley specially those staying nearby Bandar Utama, with an array of promising and nutritious broth to complement your tasteful steamboat experience without the need to worry about sweating all over.




Opulence ambiance


Located at the prime area strategically at The Roof, 1 First Avenue, YEZI 椰子 embarks as the first steamboat restaurant in Malaysia to actually offer coconut-based broth, which is much more palatable and refined at its own. The creative concept is adopted from the city of Shenzen in China, which brilliantly utilizes this fruit for a unique broth flavor, cleaner and more well-defined compared to the common meat or porridge-based that is available elsewhere nowadays.

Diners get to choose from 5 different types of soup base, namely The Original Yezi Broth, Imperial Canton Broth, Aromatic Taiwanese Beef Spice Broth, Fragrant Shao Xing Wine Seafood Broth and Wild Forest Truffle Mushroom Broth.
                                                                        




And for that tasting session, we decided to give its signature premium coconut broth a try, as depicted by its very own brand, YEZI 椰子 (Coconut).



The soup by itself is already a real treat to the taste bud and it improves further on especially towards the end of the cooking of all poultry and seafood in the same pot, rendering special ‘umami’ lusciousness that leaves epicurean with a vivid experience.




Homemade accompaniments are available such as special soy sauce for dipping purpose, chili paste, chopped bird eye’s chili, grinded Bentong ginger and halved limes. The combination of the relish in all was good, appetizing and entailed with some tinge of sourish spice behind. They go well with meats especially.

Crispy and lightly fried bites that is decently flavoured and very addictive too. Reminds me of having fried salmon skin, yum!





SEAFOOD FRIED RICE (MYR 26)
Each grain is thoroughly enwrapped with the ‘wok hei’, hence making it much more aromatic to be enjoyed with juicy and springy prawns.

THE ORIGINAL YEZI BROTH (MYR 38)
Comes with clear, fresh and natural sweetness.





It’s a big soupy pot that is refillable. The broth tasted clear and aromatically sweet by itself, mainly due to the coconut natural fragrance. It consists of fresh coconut water, fish maw, white fungus and water chestnuts to further enhance the overall taste- more refreshing.


Organic chicken meats can be added on to sweeten up the soup base.

Interestingly made with oozy cheese melts out as you munch over the delish salad balls.






All meatballs are freshly handmade thus resulting in a much bouncier and springy bites! Not to mention its size enlarges upon cooking, wow! So, remember not to overcook it guys (=






COCONUT DUMPLING (MYR 12)
A rather interesting attempt to maximize the coconut fruits creatively and I must say, it tasted good.
