place- GRIND 22, located at Lorong
Maarof, Bangsar, that you could comfortably add to your café-to-go-list, be it
during the weekday or weekend.
This
carefree-vibed café which started operation early Feb this year, is the brainchild
of 3 musketeers, Firdaus, Fikri and Fendi. It’s just beside Lorong Maarof's Twenty2 boutique.
A enclave generously swarmed with the
abundance of natural lights that surely enthralls any food photography buff who
is keen to snap the real beauty of the homey repast. The shady trees also
provide a cooling shelter to the diners with occasional cooling breeze come
brushing by your cheeks. It’s actually kinda relaxing, especially if you’re an
early riser on a Sunday morning (=
Although hot dishes might not be
largely diversified here, customers could always drop by for brunch such as their savory
homemade lamb puff that is accompanied by its signature sauce.
CRZY PUFF MYR 17
The orangey sauce comes mildly hot and the
puff itself is soft and stuffed with flavorful lamb cutlets. The meat is well
marinated and its already good to be enjoyed at it is without the sauce- just
my personal preference by the way.
MANGO FROZEN CHEESECAKE MYR 12 (seasonal)
A
delicate piece of Thai Mango-infused frozen cheesecake that is light and
indulgent in every bites. No wonder it’s touted one of the best seller.

Zesty
drink and a good thirst quencher from the mix of lemon and orange. Indeed a refreshing
concoction from Firdaus, who shares with us this popular traditional drink back
in France.
ICE NONA LATTE MYR 12
Interesting
tweak of the usual Latte with Gula Melaka (Palm Sugar). The natural sweetness
from the sugar surprisingly blends in really well with the robustness of the
coffee blend. It’s just so addictive that the drink is gone without seconds.
One of the crowd’s favourite undeniably.
BOTTLED NONA LATTE MYR 12
For those who enjoy a
stronger aroma of the Nona Latte, recommended to have this bottled package
instead. The palate difference is mainly due to the various steps involved
during the preparation, but rest assured that both are having the same and
equal quintessential proportions. I love this more!
All the coffee brewed here
are of double shot base, medium-dark roasted from the blend of Kenya, Ethiopian
and Mandheling for fruity note.
Firdaus
is a trained coffee roaster by himself, and personally goes to the field often
to choose his own coffee blend profile, from selecting good quality green beans
to specially buy the coffee machine all the way from France.
He
has been working in Italy for 3 years before coming back to Malaysia to
introduce his own brand and tasting note and at the same time educating the
public on the right coffee culture while sharing his own insights too.

The Flat White here is
truly awesome, if you are one coffee enthusiast who enjoy the smoothness of an
