BONBORI JAPANESE CUISINE REVISIT @ SETIAWALK PUCHONG

After being sensuously smittened over the Chocolate Tasting Session at Love 18, we soon decided to hop over to Bonbori awhile for some savory food after checking out that Ticket to Korea was full house again! Well, am still happy for them for the ever thriving business despite there was no more seats left for us due, and so, we looked forward to visiting again, daebak!!

By the time we reached the grand finale during that chocolaty workshop, we were rather comfortably filled up after some sweet indulgence of several dark chocolates samplings. And we thought that some quick fix of zesty Japanese food might just balance out the overall palate again.  Hence, we go light and easy for this session before heading home with a more profound knowledge of the cocoa appreciation.

Nothing had changed much since my last visit for its fresh sashimi and the customer service was as friendly as before. Cozy surrounding with warm ambiance was some what we need to kind of rejuvenate ourselves again after an insightful session.

YAKI SOBA (MYR 19.90)
Fragrantly stir-fried with assortment of seafood like prawns and squids with veggies in sweet-savory sauce for seasoning. Not too dry not too wet, by somehow bit stronger flavour for me. Would be great if it can go easier on the sauce part- personal taste bud by the way. Other than that, it was good to go.

ATAMA KIMCHI SOUP (MYR 29.90)
After tasting and still holding to the toothsome memory when savouring the nutritious miso based salmon soup, this time we decided to go for variation and so, we ended up with
kimchi-themed this time instead.

Bowl of hearty soul greeting your palate with generous portion of salmon fish heard and meat that really goes well with a bowl of white rice. Perhaps my expectation was on the sourness side of the kimchi, which I find it tad lacking here as it was kinda suppressed by the salmon fish taste as well as hovering on the miso paste side. It’s not that it was not nice nor too salty, just that am an ardent fan of kimchi who enjoys more on its piquancy and hence, it seems to be better off with seafood instead of solely with salmon. Guess I’ll just stick to the miso soup version during my next patron then.

BONBORI FRUIT TEA JUG (MYR 19.90)
Mixture of varieties of fruits that had been cubed for easy consumption in a peach tea base. Undeniably, it was aromatic and delightfully sweet that easily made a good thirst quencher.

After the refreshing juice of fruity mix, we were up and ready to set forth again for another gastronomy before our night movie “Independence Resurgence” and there’s when we discovered an alluringly gorgeous cheesy lusciousness at Dataran Sunway while on the way to Tropicana City Mall. So keep an eye on this page and we shall share it out soonest once time allows yeah (=

Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ℒℴѵ
