FATT KEE ROAST FISH 發記招牌特色烤鱼 @ PUDU, KUALA LUMPUR

After the many viral shout outs about this place, finally we are here at Fatt Kee Roast Fish to join the frenzy too!

Located just behind RHB Bank at Pudu, Kuala Lumpur, this place is well poised and at the same time, humbly hidden for seafood lovers to seek high and low, especially those who are not so familiar with the Pudu area. Thank god, we managed to pin it after several turnings (=

True enough, the restaurant is ever briskly thronged with customers from all walks of life, all tastily enjoying the seafood spread and patiently waiting to be seated for those are still quieting in the line.

This place is well known for its elaborated seafood tray that is generously dished up. Of course, we are not going to leave without giving that a try besides its other signature dishes and also new item (do look out for the hanging pot! ^^)

Let’s the feast begin!

SEAFOOD TRAY WITH JIN FENG FISH (MYR 138)
Dished up with assorted oceanic feast- clams, fish, King Prawns with bean sprouts and carrots to lend some sweetness. This tray of hot seafood platter is served at spicy Level 2. And it’s pretty reassuring of its spiciness, omg! Am gonna reach out to several glass of cold drinks then.

SEAFOOD TRAY WITH MA YOU FISH (MYR 148)
This is a non-spicy version of the above seafood tray, except that this is served with Fourfinger Threadfin. Although it’s said to be not spicy, our tongue could actually still feel the hotness and slowly stung with some numbness on out palate, hehe.

However, comparatively, we find the latter is more appealing to us as it comes with some piquancy which is appetizingly tangy!

Here you go the latest addition to the seafood galore!

HANGING SEAFOOD POT (MYR 188)
The smorgasbord ingredients of moreish seafood indulgence!
From baby abalones to King Prawns, mussels and scallops, what else to ask for?

Furthermore, you could also add in the ala cartes such as fish maw, bean curd, enoki mushroom and dried tofu skin for more supreme delights! Yeah, basically, it has now turned into your more commonly seen fete- steamboat (=

And for those traditionalist and foodies who prefer to skip the hassle of shelling off the seafood, these homey chicken recipes might potentially be a good bet too.

CLAYPOT CHICKEN (MYR 48- SMALL, MYR 68- BIG)

Comes in both spicy and non-spicy, it’s a dish of tenderly braised chicken cutlets with various Chinese herbs, carrots, garlic and other ingredients. Best to go with a bowl of white rice too.

Similarly, guests could also top it off with side dishes that we have enjoyed with our steamed seafood tray earlier for more satisfaction. In this case, we opined that the enoki mushrooms and dried bean curd skin done the best job!

After a whirlwind of sweating moments, a glass of cold homeboiled Chrysanthemum certainly came at the right time to clear off the heated throat. Fans of spicy food would definitely relish in these treats which gonna leave you with sort of a memorable epicurean session. Did I also tell you that there is 8 different level of spiciness to choose from? Throw a challenge by all means, but we gonna raise our white flags for now (=
