MOODY COW DESSERT CAFÉ @ TRANSFER ROAD, PENANG

As Mr Cool once touted it as the perfect decadent sanctuary of everything about cheesecake, the Penangite affirmed that Moody Cow Café at Transfer Road was the place to go.

At first, am dropping by with a mixed feeling since his previous recommended cakes oasis at China House proved rather lukewarm- on the Red Wine Pear Cake. However, I kinda have to see eye to eye with him on the richness of cheese factor on the array made available as this cutely cow-themed café. Not forgetting the rather steeper price compared to other bakeries available elsewhere, even in KL itself. But, does it get justified with the taste and product quality? Thou shall find out if you happen to be in the vicinity.

The counter was undeniably alluring with its massive sweet temptations while alluringly flashing its proud confectionaries that surely make you torn between choices. We soon settled down with an alcohol-infused slice after a brief snacking a moment ago- 4 packs of durians including Black Thorn (=

D’RUM (MYR 23)
An indulgent piece of chocolate concoction with rum infused cheesecake for booze lovers.

It bears the gentle burst of rum and creamy chocolate nuance in every bites, although I don’t mind if it’s heavier on the rum side as in Porky’sWild Dessert, which is literally an intensely rum-densed desert in a bowl! (=

And downed with Peach Green Sencha (MYR 8) and a hot cup of Honey Lemon (MYR 9).

By the time we were 30% away from completing the gratification thoroughly, our tummies were already full to the brim, which was not the case usually. This seems like attested the munificent culinary components used in the bakeries. It was very rich and creamy, came densely satisfying in every mouthful scoops.

Would I patron the café again if I’m in town the next trip? Guess I can safely say that there is of course a bright chance for another return to try out its other exotic attempt albeit the pricier tag (=
