GINDACO @ MID VALLEY

After the night’s movie, the tummy started calling for some light snack to slightly fuel it up back. And so, we thought of Gindaco, touted as Japan’s number one takoyaki that had just opened a kiosk in Mid Valley recently as part of its expansion. Called it our appetite had improved after the casual foodie trail the day before around Rawang-Semenyih-Cheras, hehe.

It’s said that Gindaco’s takoyaki is famed for its exterior crispiness while remaining soft and succulent within. And so, we chose the original flavor to attest the claim (=

Original (MYR 12.90- 6pcs | MYR 15.90 – 8pcs)
Drizzled with Gindaco signature sauce, topped with dried green seaweed and dancing bonito flakes.

True enough, it’s quite crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. Compared to the usual takoyaki tried elsewhere, the one by Gindaco is rather porous, giving it less chewy texture and thus, lighter. I don’t mind if the octopus filling can be more generous to fill up the gap (=

Apart from the original takoyaki variant, the Japanese snacks are also available in 3 more flavours namely, Negidako, Cheese Mentaiko, and Teritama. So much so I enjoyed omelette, onsen egg or any eggy dishes, somehow or rather, I still prefer to enjoy them separately so not to moisten up the crispy layer of the freshly fried takoyaki balls (=
