CHIC & COZY GUESTHOUSE @ TIDO HOSTEL, PENANG!
I must say that this
quaint hostel certainly fit the bill of what a good and proper guesthouse
should be. It actually reminds me of the many wonderful guesthouse stays that I had tried before in Korea during my previous vacation and still remains vividly till
today. And that pretty much goes the same with Tido Hostel, situated strategically in the town centre, making it
easily accessible to major attractions of Penang.
For our first day of
arrival to the lovely weather of Penang, we were greeted warmly by friendly
staff of Tido Hostel upon entering the comfy premises after some smooth 4
hours’ drive from KL and a breakfast pitstop at Bidor.
The check-in process was
pretty fast, after which we were led to our Double Room at 2nd Floor
which came pleasantly comfortable with a cozy red couch in the room for you to
laze on. It’s just nice, spacious enough for 2 to 3 budget travelers, with an
additional extended bed. The washrooms were rather impressive with its spick
and span condition, well-maintained despite it’s on sharing basis. Gotta
applaud Tido Hostel for that!!

Before heading out to our
Hi Tea at Farquhar Mansion, I made a dash for a quick glimpse of their
pantry at the 5th Floor while the day is still bright and the
enclave was well illuminated with natural lights.
A sense of serene garden
feel immediately felt upon seeing little green dangling plants adorning the
serene space apart from the beckoning couches. It’s so relaxing that one could
easily doze off while reading within such soothing environment.
Do you know that they do
have somewhat interestingly enthralling view at the Roof Top(accessible from an extended stairs at 5th Floor)? Much more with

Tido Hostel is probably
one of the largest hostels in town with over 88 beds, with a combination of
bunk beds and double rooms with extra beds upon request. It is also suited for those
young and tech savvy vacationer who wish to explore the city of The Pearl of
Orient without burning a hole in their pocket.
