FRIENDSCINO @ TREC KL


 

 

It’s not long ago when I revisit the happening courtyard of TREC KL again, after the recent grand launch of Wine Connection at the Terrace some weeks back. It always feel good to be back again for another exploration of the many exciting F&B potpourri of various establishments here that never ceased to have that swift innovation flows parallel with the energetic vibes.



So here we are, Friendscino at TREC KL this round!



Having been here previously for another event at Nicsmann1940s By Lewre, which is just juxtapositional attached, the image of the swanky and posh environment still remains vividly till now.






Well, many may associate this place as a cool chilling out spot with tippler comrades over some business talks. But do you know that Friendscino also serves up an array of promising feast suitable for both families dining and casual gathering with friends too? Let’s check it out!





FRESH SALMON TROUT TARTAR WITH AVOCADO AND CUCUMBER (MYR 28)
A zesty combination of fresh salmon trout cubes with diced avocado, cucumber and onion, lightly seasoned to unleash its natural flavor.



SEAFOOD PLATTER (MYR 160)
Perfect match of 1 dozen grilled green mussels with tomato coulis and grilled skewered prawns, cheesy baked John Dory fish and stuffed calamari to satiate you craving for seafood at one go!





Personally, the stuffed calamari tubes with mashed potato could be improved with better seasonings as it kinda lacking in flavours compared to its peers. Nevertheless, the onions rings were good to go- crispy and not too oily.


3 RIBS GRILLED AUSTRALIAN LAMB RACK (MYR 64)
Best cut of lamb well-seasoned with rosemary and other herbs, served alongside some garden greens to balance up the meal.



AUSTRALIAN STRIPLOIN MELTIQUE BEEF 200GM (MYR 80)
Using the best Australian primal beef, this juicy slab of meat is perfectly cooked to retain its juiciness within, rendering it a wonderful succulence. The accompanied mango relish was lovely too.




 

Perfect interlude to clear the throat with some refreshing sips!

SOMERSBY RITA (MYR 45)
Tequila, lychee liquer, triple sec, lime juice and an extra bottle of Somersby. Cheekily fascinating though……


PINA COLADA (MYR 25)
For those who are on alcohol-free diet, here you go some equally rejuvenating mocktails to jazz up your day.

CRANBERRY CRUSH (MYR 18)
ASAM BOI LIME MOJITO (MYR 22)
SHIRLEY TEMPLE (MYR 20)


Of course, not forgetting the desserts to tickle the sweet tooth amusingly!

SIZZLING BROWNIES (MYR 24)
Homemade chocolate brownies topped with rich chocolate ganache and vanilla ice cream, served on a piping hot plate, then given the avant garde element with the engaging fireworks! The brownies was actually quite good, came with that solid but moist texture in a way, giving it a mellow contrasting gustation. It’s chocolaty and not too sweet, most important of all.



And after this coming Lunar festive season, what’s next?
Surely can’t run away from Valentine’s right? Hehe......
