Sushi Azabu is New York City’s Michelin starred sushi den that is tucked on a quiet street in Tribeca. Once inside the subterranean spot, guests will be transported to Japan for an authentic and intimate eating experience. 



Now that you have entrusted your refined omakase course to the seasoned hands of culinary maestro; Chef Makoto Saito, let’s have a swift run-down of the dainty dishes that is specially selected by the chef over the crème de la crème fresh catch and then whole-heartedly prepared by the affable chef!




Saito-san, who has honed the sushi making skills for10 years now, shares how fundamentally important it is for every Japanese chef to acquire and master this expertise of crafting a good sushi before he or she could advance any further. “Lots of technique and adeptness are involved, even the spiritual state of the chef is paramount as that would determine the quality of the food served”, shared by Saito-san. Hence, interactive camaraderie between the chef and guests throughout the dining course are encouraged to spur a positive yet livelier environment.

Bonito Sashimi in Ponzu Sauce
