WILD SHEEP CHASE CAFÉ @ TAMAN DESA

After been hearing this café for quite some time now, finally able to drop by for a quick fix with amigo not long after participating in a Durian Tour earlier morning that very day to Karak.

One would easily notice its sleek design which is of mostly white and wooden setting that subtly injects the space with a sense of tranquility and peacefulness. Hence the name Wild Sheep Chase? (=

The sight of such pastel combination indeed give arise to a very cozy environment, perfect for some vis-à-vis session or a casual hangout with buddies and families alike. Arriving here during the daytime would be most ideal especially for those who love plenteous natural lights for their food photography, hehe.

CIABATTA SANDWICH WITH OMELETTE SERVED WITH GRILLED VEGETABLES (MYR 14)
Lovely plate of toothsome toastie I would say, coupled with fresh greensand gooey, creamy omelet with cheese. Add on MYR 5 for smoked salmon.

GREAT GREAT GRAPE (MYR 14)
Refreshing quenchers of grape, rosemary, lime and sprinkle of sour plum. I don’t mind if it’s cocktail though, hehe

EARL GREY MILK TEA (MYR 11- HOT)
Quite a soothing tea-time zested up with some lemon rind. A cup of aromatic earl grey brew within a dainty ceramic.

One of its hyped signature- so we went for the seasonal soufflé!

HOJICHA SOUFFLÉ (MYR 19)
Served with salted caramel or osmanthus maple syrup, and a choice of grapefruit or honeydew calamansi sorbet.

You need to enjoy it as soon as it is served, otherwise the bakery will settle down rather quickly. After all, it’s soufflé- an egg-based dish that made with mainly beaten egg whites!

Personally I find this dessert was just alright, perhaps I’m not really a big fan of mouse-like or soft based dessert. If given a choice, I find myself enjoy the denser version such as the Varlhona Chocolate Souffle that is paired with creamier sorbet almost like 30% of gelato texture. Anyway, it’s just a matter of preference as taste buds are very personal and varies greatly among people. So it’s ok not to be too rigid at times, else you wouldn’t feel like you are living a life, no? (=
