FRENCH COFFEE MOMENT ABOVE THE CLOUDS with CAFÉS RICHARD @ SKY AVENUE, GENTING HIGHLANDS

While we were travelling up to Resorts World Genting this time round for the inaugural Genting Coffee Festival, we were indeed glad to have some quality caffeine time to drop by at our favourite café in SkyAvenue, which is none other than the French-origin Cafés Richard. Even just  for awhile, it’s equally rewarding!

What’s more when you get to catch up with your amigo whom you usually get to only ‘meet and greet’ on the social platform due to respective hectic (but enjoyable) schedule? And this to me certainly sounds warming though, bonjour Luc!

We have also tried their various filter coffee previously, brewed and poured using various methods like French Press and Chemex, which were equally marvellous that we always enjoyed very much. It just greets your sensory with the right note produced via precise extraction that was brilliantly enhanced infused with a velvety aroma. Depending on your personal taste bud, if you have a yen for stronger coffee body, then the French Press method is recommended.

SUMATRA SIPHON
A lover for fuller body of cuppa, this version of Sumatra beans brewed via Siphon method injects some subtle nuance of balance that even a usually a fan for fruitier beans like me, finds it enjoyable too as it’s not too strong. Ethiopia or Costa Rica single origin is often my cup of joe. But no harm trying out other varieties as we might not know when we gonna be love-struck by chance! I mean in love with another coffee varietal of course, not what you are thinking- I heard your mind whispering, haha.

Having said that, I don’t mind bumping into my Coffee Prince (=

SPICY ROOIBOS
The association of this South Africa rooibos combined with orange, ginger, almond and cinnamon creates an extraordinary mouthfeel and flavourful moment.

It’s palatably engaging with its different gustatory gradation whereby your taste bud would be amazingly tickled by its bright notes infused with some hints of spice too. On top of that, its presentation is pretty alluring especially when served with whole cinnamon stick for that healthier mocktail recipe compared to any of the virgin mojito, hehe.

I never knew that tea could be prepared such a way to extract its essence using Siphon too! Brilliant idea from the ever imaginative and innovatively charming Luc!

Although it was just a quick catch up, the caffeine methodology sharing session was nevertheless always an inspiring and enlightening one. We would definitely be back again to surprise the ambassador-cum-mixologist amigo, merci beaucoup!

Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ℒℴѵ
