THE RESTAURANT DINNER @ THE LAKEHOUSE, CAMERON HIGHLAND


So after a quick tour of the beautiful ye olde Lakehouse, we were all geared up for the dinner!
The moment you walked into the restaurant, you can’t help but to fall in love once again with the aesthetic charm of Victorian interior imbued with warm lighting. Cant’ be better with red candle as well right? Smitten!
We went for the Chef recommended menu of the day as well as some selections from the ala carte menu too.
Chef’s Special Dinner Menu
(MYR 105 nett/pax)
Creamy Pumpkin Soup of the Day 
Pan Seared Norwegian Salmon with Honey Balsamic Sauce 
Served with Seasonal Highland Vegetables
Thick juicy slice of fresh salmon that can’t goes wrong with the inhouse made sauce- I especially love the subtle sweetness in it- must be due to the type of highland honey used.

Passionfruit Tea

  Freshly Steamed Cameron Asparagus (MYR 40)
Grilled Beef Tenderloin (MYR 95)
Served with potatoes and Cameronian vegetables
The thick slab of cut was indulgent indeed, though Pillow still prefered the one served at Huck’s Café- which I agreed too. We just simply love the whimsical crispy crust on the outside (=
Lakehouse Cheese Platter (MYR 60)
Consists of 4 types of cheese accompanied with stuffed olives and pickled vegetables
Comes my favourite snack- as what exclaimed teasingly by Pillow, haha. It’s definitely a case of “One’s man meat is another man’s poison”!
Cause Pillow ain’t really a big fan of cheese as much as me. His equivalent favoredly would be lots of, lots of meat and seafood! (*me, closing my eyes- no eyes see*)
Tempus Two Silver 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon South Eastern Australia (MYR 35)
Well balanced red wine bursting with intense berry notes and hints of chocolate, also rich and mouth-filling with silky tannins and a lingering finish.
 
It’s so smooth that I can’t let go of it and must bring it along back to my bedroom, haha.
All in all, it was an intimate and lovely session over sumptuous food with heedful service from the crew. We enjoyed every bit of it and every moment. Thanks again Pillow, for the wonderful and memorable candle-light birthday dinner for this Taurean! (= 
Loving this house that made our stay an aesthetically tranquil one and indeed, it just felt like discovering another home away from home.

  1. As claimed by Stanford Medical, It is in fact the ONLY reason this country's women live 10 years longer and weigh on average 19 kilos lighter than we do.

    (And by the way, it has NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret-exercise and really, EVERYTHING about "HOW" they eat.)
