Mille Crepe Indulgence @ Food Foundry, Happy Mansion
I suppose this is one of the best way to kick off my 2013
gastronomically :D Having embraced itself a strategic spot at a friendly
neighborhood at Seksyen 17, it has so far garnered a wide base of mille crepe fans
as far as Cheras or even other states. With a new look after the recent refurbishment;
it has become much cozier and homey, which is the best ambience when enjoying
the signature dessert on a cool afternoon during the weekend.
The soft hue really puts your mood at ease and casually. ♥

One of the latest recipes of mille crepe is the addictive Almond
Salted Caramel, not forgetting the lovely Pink Rose Coconut too!
Almond Salted Caramel
It is the case of “Never judge a book by its cover”, hehe. This innocent- looking confectionary isn’t
ordinary mille crepe as its counterpart; Vanilla flavor. Being one of the latest
additions to the selection at bakeries counter, it has gained popularity among
sweet tooth fans pretty fast. According to the staff, this is one of the hit
among its peers.
I guess it holds some truth there. The multiple thin layers
of crepe, with fresh milk cream filling in between, offers guest a very smooth
and velvety sensation. The best part is when eaten with the chunky almonds lying
on the bed of gooey salted caramel, it’s totally divine! The topping isn’t too
sweet or salty, but is nicely paired with the plain creamy layers of crepe. It
gives of a favorable contrast in terms
of taste and also texture. Highly recommend this! ^^
Pink Rose Coconut
As for this sweet heart, it holds a different enjoyment
compared to other recipes on the shelves. This Pink Rose Coconut is such an
adorable sight that you nearly won’t have the heart to sink your teeth into it.
Having said that, wetting your palate is a must in order to get the real hang of
it :D
These crepes were layered between white and pink cream
alternately, which is then topped off with some sprinkles of coconut. As you
savour the piece of dessert, you would be able to taste the fragrance of rose
delicately embedded in it. I suppose they must have used some rosehips or rose
tea when making the rosy cream. Overall, the texture is just nice and equally
good, albeit not as creamy as Almond Salted Caramel.
You could also pamper your visual sense with their chic and warm décor
as you relishing the desserts :D
almond salted caramel is such a brilliant flavor for mille crepe! :D
