D'ark Resort @ Bentong, Malaysia

Didn’t know that there is actually a village-style resort humbly nestled in one of the largest region of Malaysia; Pahang that is rich with myriad of flora and fauna.

Well, in my case, I actually came here for the team building organized by my company. And am always traumatized whenever participating in such obligatory getaway into the jungle, for the fear of unclean washrooms, as experienced previously at another venue. However, thank god for this particular resort, which is well-kept and maintained, is able to give a fresh view of such indie lodge that has improved my smeared experience in a way.

This sanctuary houses several units of pleasant resort, that are more popularly catered for trainings, seminars, workshops and many more according to the available packages, and also makes a perfect place for family vacation.

Each unit is decently adorned and equipped with the necessary amenities, but do expect some frequency disturbance if you’re planning to switch on the TV (But I think you might as well forget about it and head out for Mother Nature) ^_^

Just in front of your stay, there is one clear river water, flowing freely accompanied by some dainty sound of water gushing down the slope. It could be quite chilling though.

Looking for some recreational activities? Yes, they do have sufficient acres of land for you to kick off any outdoor activities.

Food wise, I would say is good, palate-pleasing and seriously, they serve one of the best nasi lemak (awesome sambal) and tom yam soup in town. You really ought to try it out if you happen to be here, but also do get ready with loads of water, for the spiciness might beyond your normal level, at least for me who can’t actually take too spicy food (=.

Still, it doesn’t deter me from taking few bites and sips! 

Called it the natural attribute of a passionate foodie, though risking to be drenched in sweat and face looking fiery red after that, haha)


In a nutshell, this resort serves to be one fantastic choice with its traditional charm, if you are planning am interim escape from the urban noise for a moment, to be nearer with nature and enjoying the serene music of birds chirping, dazzling flow of river as well as the sound of the wildlife sensuously. Am pretty sure you gonna get back to your usual routine with better vigour and energy.
