RED HOT CHEFS! That's the theme for the much celebrated annual gourmet event that showcases Malaysia's leading restaurants all under one roof at the recent 2014 INTERNATIONAL GOURMET FESTIVAL (MIGF), had gloriously kicked off over the weekend on 27th and 28th September 2014 at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.












Taste MIGF is a spectacular preview event for MIGF to share the gastronomic fete with discerning gourmands, which takes place throughout this October. Food lovers could anticipate a smorgasbord of fabulous treats from all over the world around these 28 Festivals Restaurants conveniently. Am indeed delighted to be part of this media preview where guests get to amuse their taste buds exquisitely under the stunning "Theatre of Cuisines", where plethora of beautifully crafted tasting portions are served, as the prelude to their 2014 Festival Menu.








Apart from the full line up of Festival Chefs' intricate bill of fares,  the night of "Super Gourmet Safari" also showcases an "Epicure International Gourmet Village" participated by over 80 purveyors that featuring a wide range of products including fine wines, cheeses, cocktails, food sampling and gourmet delicacies sourced globally to captivate you palatably.




Under this hall, guests are treated to both tastefully and visually from the various interesting samplings that includes...........

A must visit corner for any wine connoiseurs...............






These handmade gourmet sausages from Heartland Foods were so memorable and superb! As they were made from fines fresh meat and a combination of spices, the wursts were very chewy and savory, delectable in every bites. Among the crowd's favourite were Chili Beef Sausage and Lamb Sausage- addictive artisanal produce indeed and also truly a hearty, homey grubs. Currently, they are taking only private orders and yet to be made available at any supermarkets.  





There were even our favourite subject too, mixologist! I have had a fare trial in concocting my own Lychee Margarita, but guess am still sorta novice at it, hehe.

The bottled punch and cocktails are very fruity and conveniently consumed even on the go as they are made ready to be drink. Cool!

Entrance to the MIGF venue is by Gourmet Dollars, valued at MYR5 each and sold in booklets of 10 where guests could exchange it for each tasting portion.
