LWIN LEE | GELATERIA ITALIA @ BUGIS+, VICTORIA STREET

Next stop, we head to one of the many malls in town, Bugis +.

Earlier of the day, I had joined my cousin at their Sunday service centre, which is also located at the mall itself, its convention hall.  It was a windy morning, chilling and relaxing as you sing along with the other church attendees, cheering the acoustic band on stage. It was indeed a refreshing way to start your weekend I guess : )

After some two hours’ time at the centre, we headed to one ice cream kiosk for some quick glucose fix before proceeding to the next plan. And there we were, arrived at the cutesy Italian stall; Gelateria Italia, with its friendly but cheeky staff : )  I’ll let you know why later……

We had some sampling of the flavours, and soon made up our mind to go with Green Tea and Passionfruit Gelato.

Bon appetite!

The green tea gelato was absolutely superb with its original and intense taste of matcha, which really warm the cockles of my heart dearly. It was creamy and milkily smooth! As for the passionfruit variant, it was another brilliant choice as it came really citrusy and zesty with its refreshing piquancy! Oh, don’t worry much about the seeds that came along as they were edible and the whole thing made a nutritious fare, trust me : )

After getting your scoops of gelato at Gelateria Italia, feel free to add on the toppings that you prefer at no additional cost, but of course, no wastage please ^_^.

As for me, I prefer a minimal top ups so that I could truly indulge in the decadent flavours of the delish gelato originally. As such, I just went with some smidgens of twinkle chocs and mini marshmallow to create some visual effects. Can’t really take much since would be having Roast Meat for lunch soon.

Ma ma mia !!

Oh ya, about the earlier thriller so-called, before I forget. When requesting for another spoon so that we could enjoy the gelato together, one of the staff utterly requested for $0.50. I thought perhaps it was an awareness effort to go green, and so as I was about to hand over the amount, suddenly my cousin and that staff laugh cheekily. That’s when I know am into their ‘gotcha’ trap! Either I look innocent enough to be tricked or they just wanna tease a foodie lass, lol….. all the way laughing but did appreciate their kind gestures.

So now you know, haha………………….

Anyway, laughter is still the best medicine! Up next, Sentosa !

Cheers folks and Carpe Diem ! ^_^
