LWIN LEE | SLURP CAFÉ @ 3 TWO SQUARE, PETALING JAYA

Hankering for some goodish and comfy Japanese food? Then you really should consider to ‘SLURP’ down all the yummies as much as you could, especially their signature Omurice (Japanese Fried Rice with Omelette) which is due to get you hooked on for more after a scoop!

Nestled at a calmer locality of 3 Two Square, off from the busy streets of Petaling Jaya, SLURP CAFÉ welcomes you to its Marvel Superheroes’ driven theme interior that immediately entrances you once you enter it. Both of your side views are bound to be captivated by those huge and expressive murals of those iconic childhood superheroes that also include the currently raving Avengers team, combating convincingly in the Age of Utron. Well, they still appear adorably cute, albeit the much more miniature statuettes, which means ahem, I could too bring home the bacon? Hehe…………

This fantasy-filled enclave is birthed from the collaboration of two young and aspiring lads who has most of their recipes woven with Japanese twist innovatively and needless to say, deliciously homey. So let’s get the yummy run down started!

** Beware as each meal is well-guarded! Pun intended, lol…..

OKONOMIYAKI MYR 29.90
The rendition of Japanese pancake from Slurp Café. Fluffy from the inner to crispy crackling from the nacho bites on the outside.

The seafood pancake is deliciously filled with oceanic treats like scallops, prawn, squid with camouflaging bacon crisp for some surprise too. Drizzled liberally with savory sauce, Japanese mayo and my favourite seaweed flakes-aonori with feather-light katsuobushi (flakes of cured skipjack tuna), what else could you ask for a simply great snack? Slurps………

THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD EVER MYR 14.90
Bountiful healthy greens complement as the bed for the ever-juicy and tender grilled chicken breast meat that is thoroughly flavoured, humbly veiling the slurpy udon beneath it.

Comes with ajitama-like companion, it’s truly a delight of the East-Meet-West marriage!

Soon, the crème de la crème finally greeting us! The signature Japanese omelette fried rice- omuraisu!

MENTAIKO GURU MYR 19.90 + FRIED CHICKEN CHOP MYR 7
Each grain of rice is chock-a-block with luscious mentaiko and decently enveloped with aroma of English parsley.

Topped off with the golden mantle of satiny omelette, the sight of the flowing eggy dissection is enough to get your drooling. Indeed guru

BLACK & WHITE JEDI MYR 23.90 + FRIED CHICKEN CHOP MYR 7
More dense with Zen culinary? Then try this squid ink omuraisu, accompanied by white sauce which is cooked purely with milk and herbs.

MAGGI MURTABAK MYR 23.90
Your usual mundane burger buns are now newly substituted by stringy Maggi noodles, sandwiching bouncy meat patty and sunny side up, served with home-styled sides.

Might not be my top-pick as noodles are too filling for me, but still laudable for its inventive inspiration creation especially the potato wedges which is just mouthwatering withal light seasoning as well as its refreshing fruity salad that comes with peach slices, tomatoes and salad green.

SAMBAL PASTA MYR 24.90
Another clever Asian recipe twisted with some Western elements- our local much-loved sambal toothsomely tossed with al dente spaghetti, paired with our favourite nasi lemak sides such as cockles sambal, peanuts, fried anchovies, hard-boiled egg with some Indian spice ace like butter chicken cubes and never-fail-to-get-me-addicted, crispy papadum! My tummy could really welcome them at least few servings in my every trip for banana leaves meal, hehe (=

Finally, some brilliant sweet treats to wrap up the meal gloriously. These are newfangled delicacy brought to you by Slurp Café and would be included in the menu soon, as part of the latest introduction.

MANGO BLAST
Mango Sorbet, Vanilla Ice Cream, Yogurt Ice Cream, Fresh Indian Mango and Blueberries. Could opt for only Mango when it is in season.

Juicy and sweet mangoes slices guarded by Spiderman, ahem!

STRAWBERRY FOUNTAIN
Strawberry Sorbet, Vanilla Ice Cream, Yogurt Ice Cream, Fresh Japanese Strawberries and also Blueberries.

Deep down underneath the voluptuous sweet strawberries, lies the hidden treasure of citrusy berries ice cream that is just tantalizing-killing! It literally got everyone fighting for it, as these is no avenger officer guarding this round, hahaha………

Not forgetting their notable beverages too!

DURIAN CAFÉ LATTE MYR 11

PINKU MATCHA LATTE MYR 10
Finally, I found my usual best-loved matcha latte with some dandy shot-strawberry! Yeah, am a happy matcha girl! (=

Overall, the food is really nice especially the omuraisu, which still playing in my mind every now and then. Even the usual okonomiyaki is tastefully light to my tastebud and also less doughy than the other eateries. Guess the food quality is well guarded and under the good, strong hands of the Marvel Avengers! Do remember to drop by one of these days!

Cheers for now and Carpe Diem!  ❤ℒℴѵ
