Barely only 3 months in business, Viv’s Boutique Café is one of the latest café to grace the ever briskish neighbourhood of TTDI.








Set forth with a chic theme interior and classic couch for added elegant touch, the kitchen of Viv’s Boutique Café is currently maneuvered by two Head Chefs who comes from the background of Western and Japanese culinary, introducing their very own inventive and playful dishes.








CHEF SALAD PLATTER MYR 14.90
Mesclun salad served with green & black kalamata olive, cherry tomato, onion ring, capsicum julienne, crouton, tossed with aioli and some drizzles of special mango citrus dressing.






MUSHROOM SOUP MYR 15.80
Mixed selected mushroom types namely shitake, oyster, buno shimeiji and button mushroom. However, the mushroom soup was tad salty to my liking, otherwise the bites texture was good.








BENTO SET CHICKEN DRY CHILLIES MYR 18.90
Dice of chicken leg meat cooked with specialty sauce, Japanese garlic, vege tempura, fresh cut fruit, mixed salad and teriyaki sauce.





Tender and juicy chicken cutlets marinated and glazed with teriyaki and oyster sauce, rendering it an engaging savory sweet palate. Garlic rice is really toothsome and fried with the right ‘wok hei’, reflecting the tremendous skill from an experienced chef.


 


TAPAS PRAWN BALLOON MYR 18.50
Trio grilled fresh grilled prawn served with season vege ratatouille, lime wedges and papadum







Prawn has been dabbed with some curry powder before a quick deep fried and grilled. Served with sour cream together with ratatouille and prawns cubes as well. It’s a pretty good masterpiece in fact.






MANGO INJECTION SALMON MYR 35
Pan grilled chilled Salmon Trout infused with mango sauce served with sesame mashed potato, vegetable glaze, pumpkin puree and side of unagi reduction.












SLOW BRAISED BBQ SHORT RIBS MYR 38
Best short ribs in special BBQ sauce accompanied by garden vege, cherry tomato confit and sesame mashed potato.




Short ribs from Australia is slow cooked for 12 hours to achieve that ultimately assuring level of tenderness that gonna wow you over effortlessly. Knife through it easily and get a taste of its special inhouse calibrated glazing which I think is brilliantly concocted. Would be good if the mashed potato is moister with tinge of buttery flavor.


 


CHOCOLATE AQUARIUM MYR 17.90
Choc fudge served with ‘oreo soil’, scoop of vanilla ice cream and light, crispy love letter waffle stick.








As depicted, the chocolate cake could be alluringly likened to sinful choc fudge in the inviting aquarium of chocolaty-soiled flakes.







What’s best to pair the after-dessert moment other than some coffee? Or perhaps some cool refreshing beverages to clear the throat.
