LWIN LEE |2D 1N HOMESTAY @ 海•浪滔滔民宿 (WAVE REST HOUSE & CAFE) WITH TEDMI MALAYSIA
Looking for that tranquil cottage
from the bustling, fleetness city life to be nearer to Mother Nature? Then you
might want to check out this quaint little hideout located at Jeram, slightly
further up from Kuala Selangor for a greener and fresher air to breathe in.
Thanks to TEDMI Malaysia, that we
discover Wave Rest House & Café that
offers unique accommodation in a double deck, container cabin concept, that are
beautifully decorated to prepare you a comfy accommodation throughout your stays,
especially after some 1 hour drive from KL.
Each room comes with basic amenities
and is equipped with an air-conditioner as well as built-in washroom too. Couch
potatoes and wifi-surfers don’t be too discouraged when your TV and wifi
service are not found as this getaway is meant for material detachment temporarily
but to be with Nature again right? (= Also, you won’t realize how time flies as
you are bound to be occupied with the various activities instored in the
pipeline that have been planned ahead to welcome you.
Lifejackets to keep you safe and
sound while taking the boat ride to the open sea for birdwatching and bright
colours of boots of various sizes meant
for adventurous mangrove exploration. It’s my first time though venturing into
the mangrove forest, hehe. And any trip wouldn't be complete without any snacks right? (=
Tasty duck porridge cooked by the host's family, simply delish and comfort food! |
Well, there have been a slight
change to the original plan of going out to the sea due to the sudden downpour,
hence we start off with some sea-shells moment instead.
DIY your wind chimes using the
bounteously available seashells! Both kids and adults are seen enjoying the
interlude relaxingly.
Shortly after that, we proceed to
the much awaited mangrove adventure. Perhaps our visit is showered with lots of
warmth, this time, so Mother Nature decided to keep us hydrated along the way
with her generous blessing of rain, hehe. Ironically, the bunch of adventurous
goers here get more excited and we then proceed walking into the mangrove area
with our over-sized yellow shoes and cheeky resemblance of Phua Chu Kang boots.
Everyone is seem prettily walking clumsily but cute, albeit we are drenched
from head to toe. After all, happiness that’s all it matters right? (Of course
all safety precautions are well taken care of and everyone is under good hands
of the TEDMI’s crews)
If to pick for the only let-down
thing, is that I couldn’t bring my camera into the interesting mangrove walk
due to the heavy rain, dang. Nevertheless, everyone is seen having a whale of a
time with the tip-toeing on the stones, crossing some swampy part as well as
some fun teasing and laughter that simply contagious echoing the whole forest
as if it’s our kingdom, hehe. My team, with Azuki as the leader, could be well
considered as the most outstanding persona for the ever robust supply of energy
with diversified talents, ahem, keke.
>>> So some space for your imagination about our mangrove tour on a rainy day, hehe
After playing in the rain for about
1 hours’ time while completing some fun games searching for different mollusks,
we soon headed back as we started to feel the icy cool wind running down our spine
in our soaking wet body. Thank God, nobody get sick after that, and perhaps,
time to shrug off the cliché to that of playing in the rain not necessarily
causes you fever. Of course it’s just for experience sake and don’t over doing
it, hehe.
Soon, dinner time calls for our
hungry tummies and we are then treated to a delicious array of seafood feast, Sweet
N’ Sour Flower Crab, Shark Meat in Dark Sauce, Stir-fried Clams, Seafood Soup, Young
Tapioca Shoots, Mantao Buns as well as homey Omelette.
Coming up next is a light sharing
session by Tedmi founder, Andrew as well as our friendly guesthouse host of the
day, Steve! Over here, we share more laughter and chattering over some light
snacks, jokes, games and some booze too (not for kids, hehe), before calling it
day. Also say Hi to the extravaganza golden sheets of play card, made of 24
Carat Gold!
The artfully decorated cabins give a
different feel during the night with the lighted LED and neon lights.
After some quick winks the night
before while rushing up my write up on MIGF2015, all of us then started the day healthily by going for some exercises-
cycling! All of us are geared up including the kids who are well-behaved though
having to wake up early, to join the cycling tour towards the nearby beach.
Subsequently, we are back to our
homestay is ready to have our first meal of the day, breakfast time! Delish
grubs prepared freshly from the kitchen, accompanied by aromatic Coffee and
Tea, courtesy of That Foodie Place.
Ensued shortly after that was the
boat riding for bird watching activity that got put off the day before due to
the rain.
As it was the last day before
checking out at noon, more surprises coming along the way to further spice up
the trip memorably. And our glorious palates were in treat that day as we are
delectably titillated by the many scrumptious nosh that are thoughtfully
arranged by Tedmi team and its esteemed sponsorship merchants. From the
indulgent Kindori confectionaries, to freshly delivered famous pau from Shin
Lok Coffee Shop to thirst-quenching cooling coconut drink!
My fave matcha! ^_^ |
Lucky draw session! |
Such a glorious and tasty wrap up to
our 2 days and 1 night retreat at WAVE REST HOUSE & CAFÉ
with
the happening folks of Tedmi, what else could you ask for? Indeed, this impromptu
trip of mine leaves behind a sweet and vivid memory in my ‘heart-disk’ which I
definitely will treasure from time to time. I bet the rest would see eye to eye
with me too (=. Till we all meet again, let’s stay healthy and happy, and
always live life to the fullest!
Awwww.....gonna miss you dearly, cutie pie! |
