WHEELER'S COFFEE @ LOVE LANE PENANG

After all the recent spates of café hopping (Hana, Dcova, Coffee Affairs and Kim Haus) while my short stay in Penang lasts, we finally dropped by Wheeler’s Coffee, romantically located at Love Lane in Penang, so to speak (=

It was a quaint little café that welcome its guests to a casual and carefree environment, bounteously illuminated by the beautiful natural lights that liberally beaming through the glass doors, making it one of the places where shutterbugs could gather over joyfully.

Décor was kept simple, somewhat on the minimalist side, furnishing various bicycle-themed paintings that hang around the wall, and literally enhanced by those real wheels as well, no joke! Peculiar sight at first, but indeed captivating afterwards…………

As the cliché has it, some cuppa and desserts makes the best satisfying fillers in between meals, so there we go, some sweet indulgence tamed by aromatic brew.

 

WHEELER'S LAVA CAKE VANILLA HAAGEN-DAZ (MYR 16.90)
Molten chocolate cake dressed with fruits and topped with Häagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream.
A 20-minute of preparation is expected, and we think it’s worth the wait, for such a luscious, homey bake. Not too sweet but done just nice at the right level of chocolaty proportions.

AMERICANO (MYR 7.90)

A great, instantly rejuvenating shot of medium roasted Brazil Cerrado beans 

HAND POUR FILTER COFFEE (MYR 14.90)
A good hand pour of single origin using Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Idido from natural process.

Adore the subtleness it’s embodying in its bright and light body, accompanied by berry undertones in the flowery, vibrant finish. It’s mild and pleasant to my liking.

Winy, complex acidity, sweet medium body and sweet honey finishing

It holds a very cozy, relaxing ambiance seriously........
