RESTORAN PIK WAH @ WISMA MABA, JALAN HANG JEBAT

For once in a blue moon, this gonna be one of the quickest sharing on what Oriental dishes that can be expected here at Restaurant Pik Wah, After all, it was an unplanned dinner spot in view of time constraint to fill up our tummy in a jiffy before we head to the much anticipated iconic iKONCERT 2016 [SHOWTIME] TOUR IN KUALALUMPUR at Stadium Negara.

According to my friend, this restaurant has long been here for quite some time now. Food served was decently tasty and pleasant to the tastebud especially those with lightly flavoured palate. The space looks more or less the same as common banquet hall for Chinese wedding dinner.

MUSHROOM WITH HOMEMADE NOODLE

It was a plate of homey noodle stir fried with mushrooms slices in  semi-creamy gravy.  It wasn’t too salty but nicely served with savoury taste.

JIANGXI SEAFOOD NOODLE

Basically it’s a fried noodle which was then doused with thick gravy of seafood assortment to be enjoyed with century egg and pickled ginger. A little more helping of salt would do this dish good (=

GOLDEN PUMPKIN WITH BEAN CURD

This has got to be my favourite of them all. Silky and smooth tofu nicely pan-fried before coasted with the gooey sauce of golden pumpkin puree. The natural sweetness of the gourd was well-balanced with the addition of some herbs, which I was guessing could be deep-fried locally grown basil leaves, definitely not curry leaves, hehe.

Soon after we sampled this nosh, we were 15 minutes away from the concert starting time. Hence, we made a dash and swift move to Stadium Merdeka on foot to catch the Korean boy band in time!
