HAIKARA STYLE CAFÉ & BAKERY @ SUBANG JAYA

After a friend successfully lured me with her tip-off of a place that serves awesome coffee and my favourite matcha, here I am, at Haikara Style Cafe which I’ve just learnt of its existence.

It’s a quaint little café operated by Japanese couples which provides welcoming ambiance with its tranquil Zen vibes, visually soothing with the greenery of the bamboo trees at its exterior. So having matcha here couldn’t be wrong (=

It has actually opened its doors 2008, serving quality food of house recipe, and great coffee within a cozy environment with the intention to offer a slice of Japan- a taste of home in Malaysia where they currently reside, so they started this cafe to offer a Japanese style cafe meal.

According to the founder, the coffee beans used are hand-picked and sourced from the finest high grade Arabica beans from all over the world before roasted locally here. And the blend is designed for Kopi Ice (=

Local style version of Japanese drinks

MATCHA TARIK AIS (MYR 6.90)
Using Matcha powder from Kyoto Japan.
Added some Malaysian touch to it with inclusion of condensed milk.

TEA TIME PROMOTION (3PM - 6PM)
Dessert + Drinks

Cheese Cake made with high quality cream cheese and is touted as their shop's specialties that once chosen as one of the best cheesecake in Klang Valley. The texture is tad crumbly dense, unlike the usual Continental creamy type, but still lovely. The top surface is coated with a thin layer of browned sugar.

Toastie to accompany your coffee time.

CINNAMON TOAST CARAMEL (MYR 12.90)
Butter toast with cinnamon, maple syrup, ice cream, whipping cream and caramel

My favourite matcha indulgence!

KYOTO MATCHA RED BEAN (MYR 7)
Majeil- homemade soft served ice cream dessert.
We also get to sample the original vanilla flavor soft serve and I like it very much too, for its velvety and smooth, silk-like milkiness. Most importantly, it isn’t sweet.

Home Roasted Coffee
HAIKARA BLEND COFFEE (MYR 6.90)

FLORAL BLEND (MYR 8.90)
Fruity Ethiopian blend added with dry rose from Middle East

Quite a good, fascinating try and interesting discovery of an eccentric hideout for a pleasant fix of cup of joe. Would love to try out their savoury dishes in our next visit (=
