LE PONT BOULANGERIE @ OLD KLANG ROAD


 



Toying with the idea of “7-course-meal” in the span of 2 different places in less than 2 hours, we soon headed to Le Pont for some dessert retreat after homey and filling dinner a moment ago at Canton Kitchen.



 


It’s been awhile since last visit to the French bakery since its opening the year before, but the craving for the freshly baked croissant smell still remains vividly in memory. Thought of getting one alongside the array of confectionary, but unfortunately, it had already run out the moment we reached there at the late evening hours. Hence, gotta made do with only pieces for the sweet tooths.






Lemon Tart (MYR 6.90)
It was decent with a buttery crust, albeit I would be prefer it to be tarter (like the Key Lime Pie if possible ^^) for the optimum tang kick! (=

Gianduja Hazelnut Chocolate Bar (MYR 9.90)
It was the favourite piece of the day.




The Napolean regency made famous chocolaty delicacy was smooth and rich in its nutty hazelnut nuance. The added chocolate-coated flakes also added crunch to the overall enjoyment.





And some tea to sooth the ‘satisfied’ tummy of the dessert lover (=




Mogambo (MYR 8)
A calming and fruity blend of Passion Fruit and Apple bits.




So coming up next visit would definitely be trying their hand-brewed coffee at the lounge seats, getting insights from their well-trained baristas for more knowledge on different coffee beans and flavour profiles. Aiming to be there in the morning to catch one of their first batch of pastries before sold out again, so adious at the moment!
