DESARU FRUIT FARM AGRO TOURISM @ KOTA TINGGI, JOHOR

Called it another addiction to local tourism discoveries after a spate of quick excursion to Rawang-Semenyih-Broga food tripping of late, we have now ventured further to Desaru in Johor instead.

Desaru Fruit Farm Agro Tourism in Johor is actually an award-winning tropical fruitland in Malaysia that occupies a splendid area of 100 acres(45.5 hectares) planted with over 120 species  of tropical fruits which includes both seasonal and non-seasonal fruits).

Seasonal fruits are like Durian, Rambutan, Pulasan and Mangosteen, whereas those perennial comprise of Amra (Kedondong), Roseapple, Guava, Passionfruit, Jackfruit, Abiu Fruits, Pineapple, Mango, Limau Kasturi, Soursop, Breadfruit, Thousand Fingers Banana, Brazilian Longan and many more, which are available throughout the year.

The exotic farm offers several packages including educational programme for school children as well as all walks of life. All packages come with comprehensive guided farm tour that includes lunch, fruits and accommodation at selected beach resort at Desaru.

But before we set out for the greenery walk, first we filled up the gnawing tummy with smorgasbord of refreshing fruits, planted and freshly picked from the farm itself! All trees are planted and harvested the most environmental-friendly way as they practice sustainable tourism of biological control by using organic compost as the plantation’s fertilizer.

Tour package starts from MYR 26.50 (adult) and MYR 21.20 (child from 3 to 11 yo). We opt for the Fruit Fiesta package at MYR 58.30(adult) and MYR 50.90 (child from 3 to 11 yo) as the Fruit Buffet is adamantly alluring. If you wish to include Go-Kart Ride as well, then Combo B is recommended at MYR 72.10 (adult) and MYR 63.60 (child from 3 to 11 yo).

I love the passion fruit, yumz!

We have Steve Er from Desaru Fruit Farm to accompany us along in the vintage cart and brief us about the bewildering huge orchard has to offer with varieties of fruits spanning more than 500 types.

Trust me, the red dragon fruit is REALLY, REALLY sweet!!  Thanks Steve! =)

Mini petting zoo where goat barn is housed and you get to play with those cute baby bunnies! So adorable that they literally melts my heart……………………………

Guess it's extremely friendly to us that it wanna welcome us with a BIG smile? Hehe........

And don't forget to get a bite or two of their fresh local products too. They make awesome souvenirs for family and friends alike.

And those drawing local beauties have now led yet to another interesting adventure in Southern part of Malaysia and we believe would continue to expand the radar as we venture the journey called life.
