Igniting the palate sensuously during our recent trip to Penang was definitely a memorable experience with the leisure vis-à-vis session momentously spent at the opulent enclave of Farquhar Mansion- touted one of the most renowned fine dine restaurant in Penang, delighting our palates with its many temptations prepared in their grandeur Afternoon Tea.







One would be easily swept away upon entering the compound before enchantingly captured by the vintage and artful space of the very mutil-faceted oasis imbued with unexplainably sophisticalness that indirectly elevates the Zen serenity. And this point of time, it does relives back the relaxingly unruffled moments when savouring gourmet at Mezze Bistro exquisitely orchestrated by Michelin Chef Alexy Fuchs back in Kuala Lumpur. Hence, expectation is certainly there for us and it gladly imprinted another episode of pleasant gustation for us.









Each corner is set up in such a way that it embraces different and unique concept specially catered for those who prefer more intimacy and privacy in their occasion.










The High Tea set comprises of assorted moreish indulgence presented in a golden royal barouche, and complemented with House Special Pour Over Drip Coffee or Ronnefeldt Tea.

These recherché repast are well savoured and reveled in from the bottom layers ascendingly.


Favourite pick from the 1st-Tier would be the smoked salmon beautifully planted atop the tasty potato cake. An attestation of simplicity at its best!





The 2nd-Tier fave list grows longer with the perfectly constructed juicy cod fish Brioche, toothsome traditional English scones with cream and raspberry jam, and not forgotten the flaky apple danish and Madeleine.





As some of you might guess, yea, all the 3rd-tier candidates has amusingly convinced my palate with its gorgeous dulcetness. Love the fruity strawberry tarts, creatively done pandan crème brule, rich chocolate ganache and last but not least, the matcha macaroon with caramel filling. I’m actually not really a macaroon person as it’s usually too sweet for me, but this recipe from Farquhar Mansion seems to surprise me with its own daintiness. Bliss!










Tea lovers can choose from 7 choices of exclusively selected Ronnefeldt tea range, namely comprising of English Breakfast, Earl Gray, Refreshing Mint, Jasmine Gold, Sweet Berries, Cream Orange and Fruity White.





The Fruity White is really loveable as it’s indeed very aromatically engaging with its white tea flavour harmoniously infused with pear and peach taste.






As for coffee lovers like us, we could opt to clear the throat after the sweet delights with either Brazil Santos or Columbia beans using pour over method by the skillful waitron of Farquhar Mansion. I personally have always loves hand pour single origins with mild body on berries notes.





High Tea set is priced at MYR 59+ per person and only available upon 1 day prior reservation, 3pm – 5pm daily except Monday.



                                                  
The impeccable attentive service by its experienced crews certainly amazed and enticed us for another return for its alluringly sumptuous refined culinary that any epicure shouldn’t miss.
