RESTORAN BUBUR MANIS ZHUAN KEE 泉记糖水美食中心 @ SEREMBAN
Talking about impromptu
trip, I guess we really executed it really well, haha. As the Chief Food Connoisseur
(CFC) suddenly rang up one late afternoon after some drizzles in KL and
suggested to drive down to Seremban for some quick, i mean really quick foodie excursion,
I have no qualms and heed the ad hoc idea spontaneously although have no clear
plan what must-try and where must-vsit in that city! Haha….
So, as we departed at
about 4pm from KL, I try to buzz some of my local friends from the town and
luckily, my favourite senior replied me just in time! Thanks God! He who hails
from Seremban shared with me some of his favourite’s spots for delish local
delights.
One of it is this restaurant
that serves various kinds of ‘tong shui’, a.k.a. Chinese soupy dessert that is
home-boiled without much intervention of modern machineries, but just like how
you would see it when your mom cooked it at home. Simply put it, fuss-free and
homey cordial for the soul, especially those who are working in the bustling
city that is too culinary commercialized. It’s just nice as the place will only
be opened from 3pm onwards, since our journey will take up nearly 1 hour before
reaching Seremban.
Restoran Bubur Manis Zhuan Kee, is how it’s termed,
and different tong shui is available at the counter for you to choose from. You
could also pair it with some local ‘kueh’,
a.k.a. traditional pastries, similarly how you enjoy the Western Hi Tea;
Desserts and Tea or Coffee.
We called for 3 types of
tong shui at one go since this is our first visit, so we can savour different
recipes, hehe.
Pumpkin Tong Shui (MYR
1.60)
Glad that it’s not too
sweet
Mo Mo Cha Cha (MYR 2)
I always love sweet
potatoes, yum!
Mak Chuk (MYR 1.60)
Also my all-time fave-
wheat porridge, some sort of sweetened congee? I’m not too sure exactly how to
term it, hehe.
I like it with sweet corn too, nice try! |
As for the kueh, it starts
from MYR 0.70 onwards, considered cheap as compared to the metropolis
After some simple nosh, we
then drove to nearby beach where Lexus Resort is located. But weather was not
that promising, hence we just make the halt a quick one before it starts pour
again, haha. Up next, where? Of course it’s dinner time! We went to the
restaurant as suggested by my dear senior and one hand brew cafe that we happened to bumped into by chance :) Will be sharing them soon!

ReplyDeleteChina Metalized Bopet film manufacturers are frequently utilized in flexible packaging because they prevent moisture and gas evaporation during packaging. Metalized P.E.T. films are used to conceal the contents of a package from curious eyes. It is also used to strengthen lamination bonds in multilayer packaging. Multiple colors printed on metalized film make the product leap off the shelf and attract the customer's attention.
