TRAVEL DAY 5 – 沾仔記 TSIM CHAI KEE NOODLE SHOP | 5D 4 N @ HONG KONG & MACAU

Shortly after adjourned from Dim Sum Icon (barely 30 minutes ago, haha), we finally found the famously told noodle shop; 沾仔記 TSIM CHAI KEE that serves up very toothsome prawn dumplings, or more familiarly known by the local as ‘Har Wonton’!

It was rather crowded that time but luckily we managed to quickly secure a small spot.

King Prawn Wonton Noodle (Hkd 28)
Indeed, attested to it, way much, much better than those I have back at my homeland, hehe. Not only the prawn wonton is big, juicy and bouncy, it’s also fresh and sweet at the same time. Ma ma mia!
No wonder it’s been awarded the Best Chinese Noodles, Congee Restaurant in 2008.

Fresh Sliced Beef Noodle (HKD 28)
Looking equally good too, but I enjoy my prawn wonton more! ^^

If were to pick one of the things that I’m not used to, it would have to be the obvious ‘acid boric’ taste in the noodle that I find tad strong. The ‘wonton mee’ aka egg noodle is springy and delightful, would have been a much delectable experience if without the ‘kan shui’ taste.

Soon after that, we head back to the Central MTR before bidding farewell to the vibrant city of Hong Kong. But first, let’s stop by for some Starbucks cuppa from this metropolis with my Hongkie travel buddy, Jason, whom I last met in Busan 2 years ago. It’s a fun and pleasant catching up despite a quick one as he’s quite a tight schedule- he’s in the airline field by the way (=

FRAPPUCINO- JAVA CHIP (HKD 40) & HOT CAFÉ LATTE (HKD 34)

So this time, really need to bid voyage till our next journey penned down along the memory lane………………………….
