GOON WAH FISH HEAD NOODLES @ SKYAVENUE, RESORT WORLD GENTING HIGHLANDS
It was quite a surprise encounter when I learnt that the
iconic place where I had the glorious fish head noodle in Petaling Jaya
previously , has now came up uphill to titillate the global taste buds with its
toothsome heritage- Goon
Wah Fish Head Noodles.
Residing at the 4th floor of the FB-inundated
space of the new chic mall; SkyAvenue, Goon Wah Fish Head
Noodles offers assorted array of homey local delights where diners from near
and afar could get a taste of its Oriental recipes especially its fresh and
juicy fish meat which goes really well whether it’s served fried or soupy
style.
Among the dishes you could expect to help warm up the tummy
during your vacation at this cold and chilling highlands are…………….
Pattaya Tofu (MYR 9)
Lobster Ball (MYR 2/pc- Soup only)
Stir Fried Pork Maw with Intestines and Dried Shrimp (MYR 22)
Not really a big fan of innards myself generally, but
somehow or rather, this appetizers seems much friendlier than I thought- each
maw is nicely sliced to a pleasant thickness and comes tad sourish which I think
is quite appetizingly chewy.
Kong Nam Mee (MYR 18)
Fried Noodles beforehand that is doused with savoury gravy
with abundant of oceanic treats.
Claypot XO Fried Fish Fillet (MYR 25)
Here comes the signature dish- mouthwatering and
slurpy-licious noodles that pairs perfectly with the succulent fish fillet that
has been lightly fried to create that slightly crispy skin at the exterior,
yummy! Prefer to enjoy the fried fish fillet separately as the soup will make
the fish meat tad soggy if soaked in the soup for some time.
Claypot Curry Fish Head with Rice (MYR 38)
A piping hot pot of curry is certainly welcoming especially
when dining in the chilling weather of Genting Highland whilst indulging in
tasty affair of which recipe is well-calibrated with various herbs and sweet
fish meat that it just won’t go wrong when eaten with a bowl of white rice.
Iceberg Lettuce (MYR 15)
Some veggies as the interlude (=
Treasure Box Claypot with Loh See Fun (MYR 18)
Definitely a smoky claypot of fragrantly fried Loh See Fun
to be treasured alongside minced meat!
Stewed Pork Belly with Yam served with Steamed Buns (MYR 29)
And last but not least, end the feast with a bang with these
succulent slices of pork belly that has been softly stewed till perfection with
tasty yam to be paired with the fluffy mantao buns.
Towards the end of
the fantastic meal, we are already harnessing the thought of revisiting the
outlet again once we got down to the city as we just can’t get enough of the
juicy fish fillet. Meanwhile, let’s adjourned to AGED,
for some equally smacking good treat of fusion treat!
