HORNBILL RESTAURANT & CAFÉ @ KL BIRD PARK

A rustic gastronomic experience to remember amidst a lush tropical rainforest adventure.
This is often how one would describe the casual dining experience over at KL Bird Park’s very own Hornbill Restaurant & Café in just one sentence.

Located within the Hornbill Park of KL Bird Park, the distinctive yet subtle Malay Kampung House architecture of the restaurant certainly contributes to the overall warm and rustic dining experience. Despite having old world charm, the restaurant is fitted with all modern amenities one would need. Hornbill Restaurant & Café is set up as a 3-tiered restaurant: upper (maximum capacity: 100 pax), middle (maximum capacity: 100 pax) and a lower deck (maximum capacity: 60 pax).

Other than being surrounded by towering green trees & breathtaking view of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, you might also be visited by the majestic Rhinoceros Hornbill and her other feathered friends while enjoying your meal at the restaurant’s protruding open verandah.

As one peruses through the elegantly designed yet descriptive menu, he or she may find that there’s something for everyone including the most discerning palates. The restaurant offers a wide selection of local and western favorites, each finely prepared by the restaurant’s highly experienced chefs.

Among the mouthwatering cuisines that would whet your taste buds delightfully are………………..

Butter Prawns with Egg Floss (MYR 29.90)

Malaysian Chicken Curry (MYR 19.90)
Aromatic gravy which goes perfectly well with a plate of white rice!

Curry Laksa
It was simply toothsome and served in deliciously cooked broth!

Nasi Dagang

Seafood Tom Yam Soup (MYR 14.90)
Would be better if it could be tangier (=

Pisang Goreng (MYR 5.90)
Banana fried fritters- just like how the local enjoys it since childhood!

Coconut (MYR 12.90)
Some refreshing coconuts drink to clear the throat.

Chicken Chop (MYR 29.90)
The slab of succulent meat was tenderly done with flavourful marinade, accompanied by savoury black pepper sauce.

Cordon Bleu
Juicy chicken breast nicely enveloping ham and cheese within a crispy coating, giving this French dish a convincing local rendition.

Seafood Carbonara (MYR 23.90)
Pasta was done al dente and not overly cooked, drenched in pleasant carbonara sauce that is not too creamy, together with fresh and bouncy prawns!

Hornbill Restaurant & Café certainly makes an ideal venue for not only family and friends, but also equally lovely gathering choice for visiting buddies from abroad to catch a glimpse over local delights, be it for lunch, dinner, business meetings or even small parties to wedding receptions.

So do pay Hornbill Restaurant & Café a visit soon, experience the real pleasure of dining while relishing the beauty of Mother Nature.
