KNOWHERE BANGSAR BAR @ JALAN MAAROF








Upon stepping into this tavern located at the brisk neighbourhood of Bangsar, thou shall be captivated by its sleek and starry interior that somehow just naturally prepares you in the right mood after a hectic day at the office. Knowing it was another happy hump day again that evening, I was really looking forward to welcoming the much-deserved weekend ahead with my chums (=







Executed mainly in bold black theme, Knowhere is popular for its tapas array which goes well with house tipples to unwind the day- thus, ideal spot to chill out after work with your compatriots too. The sight of the numerous racks with beckoning booze nicely sitting on it also subtly makes it an enchanting sight for the eyes to feast besides the space is also gracefully illuminated by the many stellar lights! Romantic huh?












When comes to gastropub dining- you just got to have the hot Italian flat bread that is freshly fired out from the oven baked with toothsome ingredients packed with robust freshness.

 


So let’s dig into the melting cheesy of goodness, yum yum!



SEAFOOD MALAYA (MYR 35.80)
Mild spicy sambal seafood pizza with selasih leaves, pineapple and mozzarella




CARNIVORE PIZZA (MYR 36.80)
Roasted chicken, beef bacon, minced beef, tomatoes, jalapeno and Monterey Jack cheese




 TOMATO GALA (MYR 26.80)
Margherita pizza with sun-dried, semi-dried and cherry tomatoes




SMOKED PLUME AND PLUM (MYR 24.80)
For some Japanese inspired fare, let’s relish in this house-smoked duck served with plum and peach salsa, mango salsa and onion marmalade. The meat is nicely smoked and very tender to my liking.


FLIGHTLESS WINGS (MYR 20.80)
Deep fried chicken wings tossed with julienned ginger and chili dip. Flavourful finger bites and not overly spicy.


GRILLED CRUDITES (MYR 15.80)
Mixed grilled vegetables, served with baba goulash and cucumber raita dip



LIME CURED BEEF TONGUE (MYR 26.80)
Finely sliced house-pickled beef tongue, spinach and onion chili jam tartine


ASARI DOENJANG (MYR 24.80)
Claims, doenjang, coriander, chili and garlic. An interesting twist I would say from the usual doenjang jigae.



SMOKEY SALMON (MYR 28.80)
Rolled smoked salmon, semi dried cherry and citrus dressing and sherry caviar




PRAWN GARLIC TOMATO SALSA (MYR 29.80)
Skewered tiger prawns with garlic and tomato salsa




Of course some cocktails as the perfect sweet companions!



SMOKED POPCORN OLD FASHIONED (MYR 36)
Whisky stirred with popcorn syrup and grapefruit bitters, smoked with inhouse wood chips. Beautifully concocted indeed!









KOPI NEGRONI (MYR 32)
Spiced rum with kopi tongkat ali liquor and kopi hitam. Exotically presented in the skull-like glassware, that’s for sure!








SIRAP SETAN (MYR 32)
Lemongrass and pandan-infused gin with homemade rose water, cherry blossom and sours


IT’S NANGKA THYME (MYR 30)
Jackfruit and habanero infused with rum and lime, curry leaves and homemade grapefruit and thyme soda
