Nestling modestly at the serene neighbourhood of Mont Kiara is where you could find the zen vibes of Japanese ambience, here at Bakery Café Hachi. Despite these brisk localities are rather more common with café hoppers, little do many knows that this humble Japanese bakeries has actually garnered throng of avid fans ever since its earlier inception days- thanks to its ever enchanting recipes which are baked and made with heart and soul.
Having relocated previously from Hartamas Shopping Mall to now at the latest lifestyle promenade of 1 Mont Kiara, Hachi Bakery continues to serves its loyal fans and tantalized their taste buds with their earnest bakeries ranging from breakfast plates to savoury and unmistakably scrumptious pastries and breads that is indigenously crafted using ingredients sourced originally from Japan.
Hachi Bakery signature Breakfast Set is served from 8am to 11am, with complementary Americano or Tea. Perfect for white collar who needs quick caffeine fix before running around the clock with the hectic work schedule. Enjoy from toastie with butter and jam, Hot sandwich of Cheese and Chicken Ham, French Toast with Cream and Jam or Egg Benedict with Cream Cheese and Jam Muffin.
And since it’s a leisure Saturday, naturally weekender like me would tend to wake up slightly later than usual working day and treating yourself to a wholesome array of toothsome brunches, as a reward after the just completed resourceful week (=
Apart from their alluring fresh bakes of breads and loaf, lovely savoury offerings are also up on Hachi Bakery’s sleeve too!
CLASSIC BURGER- CHICKEN/BEEF (MYR 17)
Homemade patty with signature sauce and cheese. Each bites feels mouthful and satisfyingly sinful with well-textured inhouse made meat patty. This version by Hachi Bakery allows me to savour the grubs worry-free as no other unnecessary fats addition are included except real and raw ingredients used in producing it genuincely. Hence, it’s really juicy and delightful in its own way.
CROQUETTE BURGER (MYR 16)              
For the vegan-friendly choice, do give this nosh a try. Nutritiously made of pumpkin and potato mash, glazed with tonkatsu sauce, this burger is ideal for any health connoisseur who is currently on special meat-free regime or even those who usually are not vegetarian- for the patty is equally mouthwateringly convincing!
The combination of golden pumpkin and potato is really good, striking balance in savoury sweetness that is tastily spiced up with light sprinkles of freshly ground peppers too, oishii!!  CROQUE MADAME (MYR 13)
Being a fan of croquet monsieur, this serves as a tempting option too. Love how soft in the loaf supporting the sunny side up, accompanied by salad as the side as well as appetizing dressing along.
Salad lovers and even not-so-lovers on greens, thou shall change your mind after basking in Hachi Bakery’s PRAWN SALAD (MYR 16) and SMOKED SALMON & AVOCADO SALAD (MYR 18).
Prawns that have been cubed are gleefully fresh and bouncy, with an option for salmon lovers too. Deliciously paired with buttery avocado alongside its unique housemade dressing. I’m not usually a big, big fan of raw greens, but somehow miraculously, I’m hooked on to them. Guess soon I’ve found another alternative for my tummy to take a break at time (=
Don’t  forget to leave Hachi Bakery without bringing home their splendid spread of fresh bakeries.
SALTY BUTTER (MYR 3.20) is made of sea salt and butter. I guess this is one of the healthier options for those seeking simplicity in baking for that indigenousness.
MELON BUN (MYR 3.40) also touted as crispy cookie bun.
CROQUETTE SANDWICH (MYR 5.90)
The Japanese sandwich version of deep fried potato with tonkatsu sauce.
YAKISOBA (MYR 6.20)
Japanese stir-fried noodles has now found a much interesting companion- sandwiching between two soft cushion.
KOSHI ANPAN (MYR 3.20)
Sweet bun made with koshian, a fine red bean paste imported from Japan. It’s not overly sweet, but tastily appealing with its subtle sweetness from the soft bread bun and smooth red bean filling. The captivating round bun is light and nicely browned with some sprinkles of black sesame. Those who usually have a yen for savory grubs is somehow smitten and convinced by this nosh. Personally, I’m liking this pastry very much!
HACHI TOAST BREAD (MYR 7.40) is the signature bread which is alluringly fluffy, moist and soft.
Available in either 4, 6 or 8 slices.
Oh wait, did I mention that their fried wedges are superbly awesome??
I really love their house recipes for being able to keep the wedges crispy even after serving it at room temperature for awhile and most importantly, they are freshly made from real potatoes (with skin still intact) instead of those usual mass-produced French fries!
Those who follow me closely would certainly already knew that I’m a huge buff of fries and anything about potato. And guess after this, I found a better option of enjoying this snacks, perfect!
