HARRY RAMSDEN @ RESORTS WORLD GENTING

Long been touted as Britain's oldest and famous fish and chips shop “Harry Ramsden”, is now finally gracing our very own highland of Resorts World Genting.
It’s an iconic casual dining scene back in the Britain whereby Harry Ramsden which is akin to Great British name, has been world-famous for its Fish and Chips since 1928.
Now it really brings back the fond memories where I had a very scrumptious Fish n’ Chips when I was in Augusta and Queenstown. The reason why I am more drawn to abroad version for such earnest staple is that the fish meat there is much fresher and comes in more varieties such as haddock, cod, shark besides dory being the common one. Batter used was just nice and not too thick, and I love their gorgeous, thick fries!! And the recent one which brought me to an unexpected yummy serendipity at Market Hall in Perth last October, which I shall be sharing very soon.

Since I was uphill a couple of weeks ago to check out the whimsical fanfare at Starlight Carnival with Oktobest Hall and Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, I might as well give this place a good try to reminisce the wonderful past vacations.
Initially wanted to dine at Laughing Fish by Hary Ramsden which is located just next to it. But there was quite a queue at that moment thence, we decided to just pop over at its take-away counter.
So we tried the Haddock (MYR 46) with extra sidekick of double-cooked chips (MYR10) to pair along. It was a nice surprise though from Pillow that he actually remembers this nosh is one of my biggest all-time fave! Seriously, chips and fries can be my meal replacement anytime, anywhere! Haha……..
Fish meat was flaky sweet and fresh undoubtedly, we both enjoyed it very much especially during such pleasant, cool weather here. As for the fries, the truffle salt actually lack of the earthnut aroma but couldn’t ask for more at that price. The fries texture here was slightly different whereby it’s bit soft and the exterior skin is less crispy from what I had before. Not sure if this is their own recipe but nevertheless, very thick still.
Overall, not too bad if I’m not too picky on the fries. Indeed a fuss-free pitstop to grab and go when hunger suddenly strikes. Let me know what’s your thought after trying it out at High Line, Resorts World Genting (It’s actually the al fresco extension of Sky Avenue Level 4- same floor as the Skyway Cable Car).
