ED’s EASY DINER FROM UK TO MALAYSIA @ RESORTS WORLD GENTING

Following the successful new concept, the first-ever vibe dining restaurant FUHU Restaurant & Bar by Zouk Group, Resorts World Genting now welcomes another new member to its happening F&B family which hails from United Kingdom- Ed’s Easy Diner!

Fondly known as Ed’s Diner in short by its fellow patrons, this is the place where a sense of carefree good times resembling American retro-concept is evoked with common elements such as white tees under black biker jackets, bobby socks, poodle skirts and frosty milkshakes topped with a swirl of whipped cream. 

Not forgetting its accompanying complementing neon signs ornamenting the windows, black and white floor tiles, glossy red booths and shiny chrome-accented soda fountain stools design too, which is meant to mimic the familiar hangouts of good ol' times in the States.

This British eatery that origins from United Kingdom has just marked its 16^th debut after gracing the brisk dining scene of Resorts World Genting recently in December 2019, further adding to the resort’s list of experiential dining experiences uphill.

In addition to the great food, Ed’s Diner in Resorts World Genting is also featuring a vintage Wurlitzer jukebox loaded with hits from James Brown, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Steppenwolf, Bruce Springsteen and Lenny Kravitz, whose music will set the mood for the diner. The jukebox is an authentic analogue machine, as opposed to the current replicas in production.

It might also be the first time for many diners gets to have a hands-on experience with selecting music from these iconic music machines, which usually are often seen in silver screen only nowadays.

Having been operating in Britain since 1987 and spanning over 15 diners (franchises) across the United Kingdom, Ed’s Diner is appreciated especially for its focus on great American music. Each diner is fitted out with classic jukeboxes loaded with hit music from iconic, chart-topping American acts, focusing on the classic sounds of the 50s’, 60s’ and 70s’, that reminds one of John Travolta’s movie, Grease.

And such concept- aptly complements its F&B offerings of American diner fare undoubtedly.

The long service counter in the diner will feature a milkshake station where the outlet’s fabulous milkshakes are made. Do you know that each staff that makes milkshakes would need to go through a specific Milkshake workshop prior setting out in the serving line? That just shows how much Ed’s Diner emphasizes on its delivery and quality.

Served in tall, heavy metal glasses, the milkshakes will be one of Ed’s Diner’s signature offerings. Made extra thick, the ice cream shakes are based on a proprietary recipe, and available in either regular or large servings.

Apart from single flavor Straight Up Shakes (MYR 19) of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint, salted caramel and banana, Ed’s Diner also offers Deluxe Shakes (MYR 24) in Oreo, Nutella and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Or- for ultimate indulgence, then head for their alluring Freaky Shakes (MYR 28) in Chocolate Brownie Oreo Shakes, Strawberry Donut and Buko Coconut Pandan Layer Cake.

Sweet treats aside, Ed’s Diner also promises wholesome food, served up the American way. Diners can expect a selection of appetizers to share, including nachos, BBQ chicken wings, and fries smothered with a variety of toppings.
