ELIZABETH QUAY & CITY OF SOUTH PERTH @ AUSTRALIA

Today marked the last day of our visit in Perth before catching our night flight later that evening. As such, we tried to check out all the remaining places of interest as much as we could within this previous 8 hours.
Luckily there was a nearby subway within walking distance from the place we were staying at Leederville.

ELIZABETH QUAY @ PERTH
Location: LOT 901 Riverside Dr, Perth WA 6000, Australia
Elizabeth Quay Bridge
The 20-metre high suspension bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists and is an iconic architectural feature of the quay.
Spanda
Elizabeth Quay Art, Spanda is a 29m tall design which represents ripples and links the Swan River, land and sky. Its form actually radiates a feeling of openness and inclusion. It’s actually located a The Landing, of The Esplanade.
The Bell Tower
The towering glass spire of The Bell Tower or more commonly known as The Swan Bells are a set of 18 bells hanging in a specially built 82.5-metre-high copper and glass campanile in Perth. It has a combined weight of about nine tones and was designed by the local architects Hames Sharley.
Located on Riverside Drive overlooking the picturesque Swan River, it is one of the most unique places and must see tourist attractions in Perth. It is now also opened for unique venue hire in Perth for your party, corporate function, wedding or any private functions.
Then we took the ferry across the river to South Perth.
 SOUTH PERTH @ WESTERN AUSTRALIA
Location: Cnr Sandgate St and South Tce, South Perth WA 6151
The first view greeted us upon touching down the land across Swan River- South Perth Foreshore!
Leafy green parks and wide open spaces were copious! Perfect for as a spot to relax your mind as you unwind the day.
This tranquil neighbourhood somehow reminds me of the serene Auberge Discovery Bay during my previous visit to Hong Kong too. How blissful!
We basically went on a face-paced walk towards the direction of The Mill in the interest of time. The surrounding was really serene with lots of trees shades as well as blooming flowers. Every condominium was very well organized with contemporary urban design, equipped with a number of walking paths and trails too.
Old Mill
Location: Melville Pl, South Perth WA 6151, Australia
Historic place with aesthetic appeal
The Old Mill in South Perth is one of Perth’s best known landmarks. Built in 1835 and operating until 1859, the mill produced 680kg of flour per day at its peak. Since ceasing production, the mill has been used as a hotel, a residence, a wine saloon and a poultry farm.
In 1992, the Old Mill was granted to the City of South Perth to commemorate the centenary of the founding of Local Government in South Perth (1892). The stone buildings and site were repaired and upgraded and were then vested in the National Trust.
After awhile, we took the ferry back to Elizabeth Quay to spend the rest of the day before returning to hometown.
Wesley Uniting Church
Wesley Church is a Uniting Church in Perth, Western Australia, located at the corner of William Street and Hay Street. It is one of the oldest church buildings and one of few remaining 19th-century colonial buildings in the City of Perth.
Eat Me Ramen

For lunch, we tried out this ramen shop as we passed by several Asian inspired establishment including few Korean shops at this Barrack Street.
Classic Ramen (AUD 13.50)
Light or rich chicken broth with soy sauce or seasalt chashu with seasoned egg, wakame and fragrant oil.
Midnight Sun (AUD 15)
Soy sauce rich chicken broth, black garlic oil, chasu, seasoned egg, charcoal confit tomato, bamboo shoot and wakame.
I always love Black Garlic infused ramen for that subtle fragrance it brings along.
Up next after a scrumptious meal, we strolled to Perth Underground and there- I got myself another scoop of gelato from Bocelli (=

Bocelli's Espresso
Location: Forrest Pl, Perth WA 6000, Australia
Sicilian Pistachio (AUD 5.50 per scoop)
The General Post Office
The General Post Office is a heritage landmark building in Perth, Western Australia. Located on the western side of Forrest Place in the city's central business district, its imposing stone facade is in the Beaux-Arts style.
While still slurping up the gelato, we continued walking till we reached another café for a quick caffeine fix for that afternoon at Lake Street. More info coming up in next post, stay tuned (=
