Tada, finally we’re
here at my fave rustic Chef’s place- Jamie’s Italian!
In fact, I have been
watching Jamie Oliver’s cooking show since young and always enjoy his charisma,
especially his indigenous style who always believes in fresh, unpretentious and
real ingredients.
Love the casual and
friendly vibes upon walking in, also indirectly enticed by the many wooden
aesthetic fixtures besides the comfy couch.
Truffle Tagliatelle
(AUD 16)
Silky black truffle
butter with parmesan, nutmeg and shaved black truffle, oh yeah!
Pasta is freshly made
daily flour, semolina and free-range egg. Indeed an “Truffle-fic” moment!!
For the steak lover
especially aged meat, this was one luscious serving that was perfectly executed
as we wish- medium rare.
280g Striploin Steak
(AUD 40)
28-day aged
striploin, served with salsa verde and chips
Epic Chocolate
Brownie (AUD 14)
Rich chocolate sauce, salted caramel
gelato and caramelized popcorn.
How could you ever
possibly go wrong with this? Indulgent!
Overall, it was an
enjoyable dining moment within the dulcet ambiance of warm lightings. While
still taking some few final glimpses of the place (in hope could bump into
Jamie perhaps? Haha…)
Anyway,
wrapping up fast and getting our luggage ready after a happy tummy.
Thanks
to Ben, we managed to drop by quickly at Kaarta Gar-Up Lookout again
for a different view this time- night scenery after twilight befallen.
And the memories engraved vividly into the ‘heart-disk’
with some souvenirs and tit bits from Aussie of course!
