EDEN COFFEE ROOFTOP CAFÉ @ BUKIT BINTANG
It’s not
easy to come across a place that connects to you almost immediately the moment
you encounter it for the first time. Called it LOVE at first sight may be in
this case?
As calming
as the name may suggest, Eden Café is poised to be a serene sanctuary perfect
for those seeking for some quiet time and to reconnect with chums or ownself-
once again…… within a safe oasis filled with abundance of love from Mother
Nature- great relaxing rooftop view with breezy al fresco setting or the
air-conditioned seating inside the premise.
The
greenery surrounding on top of the glass panel walls really reminds me of the idyllic
White Chapel which I also
happened to chance upon at Auberge
Discovery Bay back in year 2016.
Food and
drinks menu here are decent and I enjoy the bounteousness amidst simpleness.
And so
later I learned that this little space used to be staff canteen for the nearby
church which now they opened it up the access to the public as well.

I really
enjoyed this cake!
Despite
being eggless, the taste was still very much profoundly intact having zested up
with tangy and refreshing citrusy. I’m a true blue fan of classic tart key lime
pie but sadly, that’s not easily found in Klang Valley.
At most
my last memorable desserts which was tangy enough was at Le Petit Four in Penang. This
patisserie is not only serving top-notch artisanal gateau but also earnest
croissant- which is on par if not better than those in Klang Valley in my
humble opinion. I guess the main reason largely lies in the quality ingredients
used in their baking- in this case, they are using Lescure for their crescent
roll.
So to be
able to find such nearest resemblance in cake version is good enough for me or
any cheese lover. Such a bliss!!
Nasi
Lemak (MYR 3)
This coconuty
staple also comes with begedil too- some sort of spiced potato mash that is
pan-fried. I love it too! All kind of potato-ish grubs is lovely to me!

Café Latte

It’s
definitely a lovely serendipity by surprise and I can’t help it but to continue
loving the peace and tranquility from this humble respite more and more………
Personally
feels that to have such aesthetically cozy café in Golden Triangle itself is
not so common nor easily found- apart from my usual default place at Artelier Coffee and Kita Coffee. With the
natural air and trees, Eden Café certainly
has the edge over them. Having said that, each has its own unbeatable USP uniqueness-
Artelier Coffee with
its signature and market-pioneer Dirty Coffee followed by meat-free homemade
savory dishes by Kita Coffee in
addition to its earnestly homebaked desserts especially its assorted swiss
rolls that is imbued with Japanese elements and my fave has always been their umami
matcha-themed desserts, simply awesome!
Till
then, cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for
more ‘food-ful’ discoveries!
Take
care & stay safe everyone!
