HAKKA RANG 客家人 2023 CNY MENU @ SS2, PETALING JAYA
Time really flies. In no time we are about to greet another prosperous year ahead after St.Nick just bid farewell.
And for this, the neighbourhood-favourite shop HAKKA RANG 客家人 which specializes in Hakka cuisines has specially crafted unique well-guarded home recipes to amuse your tastebud toothsomely this lunar reunion.
The previous visit to its Kota Damansara outlet still remains vividly in my memories. Food are lovely with friendly service. Fast forward now, Hakka Rang has finally made another footprint in the vicinity of SS2, just in time offering scrumptious Chinese New Year dishes to spice up your lunar celebration and family reunion, minus out all the tedious work at the kitchen.
One of the quintessential dish has got to be Yee Sang. More often
than not, I’m not particularly a big fan of this significant menu due to its
commonly being heavily flavoured but- Hakka Rang’s version proves otherwise. Over
here, diners have two choices to go for; Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Yee Sang
with Chuka Kurage (Jelly Fish) as well as the vegan-friendly type which
drives inspiration from Japanese Chuka Wakame (Seaweed).
Stir Fried Leek with Roast Pork- one of the
common dish that I often sees my mom cook back at home. Now that I knew it’s
actually of Hakka cuisine, hehe.
Another must-have lunar dishes apart from Stuffed Dried Oyster
with Black Moss is the Dongpo Pork served with Mantou which makes really
good combo, thanks to its tenderly braised meat in flavourful gravy.
Apart from that, fish is one popular dish that is indispensable
during every Chinese New Year for it symbolizes great abundance and wealth to
everyone the entire year. And for this, Hakka Rang brings upon you with
Steamed Orange Roughy with their Homemade Sauce. Fish meat is very silky
smooth and very appealing that easily gets you hooked on for more!
In addition to its festive dishes, Hakka Rang also offers vacuum-packed
frozen food for most of their signature menus, such as Braised Pork Knuckle
with Sea Cucumber, Yam Abacus, Hakka Stewed pork with black fungus amongst
