BONJOUR, EMBARKING ON RADIANCE JOURNEY WITH AVÈNE LATEST VITAMIN ACTIVE CG RANGE!

After attending the hands-on workshop recently by Eau Thermale Avène, I have definitely gained better insight and understanding on the science behind the latest Vitamin Activ Cg range formulation in the Radiance Concentrated Serum and Radiance Intensive Cream.

More often than not, many have the misconception that Vitamin C is the same as Vitamin Cg but they’re not. 

 Despite having similar benefits when incorporated into skincare routine, Vitamin Cg  or commonly known as Ascorbyl Glucoside, is a more stable derivative of Vitamin C and less prone to oxidation. Hence offering better anti-aging properties and less prone to degradation from light and air- which is the star ingredient of this exclusive new range. 

  Do you know that 1.8% of Vitamin Cg is impressively equivalent to 20% of Vitamin C?

Niacinamide

It’s a strong antioxidant, shielding skin from free radicals, brightening dull complexions, evening out skin tone, and repairing signs of UV damage. 

 Bakuchiol 

This plant-based alternative to retinol is gentle but doesn’t hold back on performance. Bakuchiol stimulates collagen production to visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin smoother, plumper, and radiant. Bonus? It’s also anti-inflammatory, making it perfect for sensitive skin that often can’t tolerate traditional retinol. 

 Avène Thermal Spring Water 

Naturally rich in minerals, this iconic French skincare ingredient is known to soothe, calm, and soften even the most sensitive skin. It’s the perfect finishing touch to help reinforce the skin barrier and reduce irritation.

 This therefore naturally spurs up my curiosity in giving this new range a try.  

  

✅️ Radiance Concentrated Serum  

Radiance Concentrated Serum has an incredibly lightweight texture that absorbs effortlessly into the skin, making it feel fresh, breathable, and well-prepped for the next step. I really like how non-sticky and smooth it feels on application perfect even for hot and humid days! 

 

✅️ Radiance Intensive Cream 

Initially, I was a bit skeptical if the cream would be on the heavier side and difficult to absorb. But after applying it, I was pleasantly surprised by its light texture it glides on smoothly and absorbs well, leaving the skin feeling soft and comfortable.  

Even though the texture leans on the creamier side, it absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and deeply hydrated. The formula feels lightweight, cooling, and refreshing upon application. Its comfortable texture helps the skin feel instantly soothed and allows for better absorption and effectiveness. 

 

So, after two weeks' application day and night, I notice that my otherwise rather uneven skin tone has lightly brightened up with more luster. Some random dark spots patch also seem faded to some degree.

Of course, I'm thrilled with this initial result and dedicatedly apply them more regularly to achieve my long-time glowing skin goals. 

  Owing to the products’ light texture, my breakouts have also diminished on top of brighter complexion. All these desired results are achieved after just 15 days of application without having to go under knife. I am grateful to be able to improve my skin in less than a month.
