COCOTT' KL @ GREENS TERRACE, TAMAN TUN DR ISMAIL (TTDI)

Bonjour!

If you’re looking for a place to wind down casually over sumptuous French panache with buddies alike but worried if traditional table etiquette is way too emphasized, then fret not as Cocott’ is indeed a lovely spot for you to kick back and relaxed with their élan affair of casual French cuisine and its regional specialties. Apart from the usage of cocottes is representing French cooking tradition in which notion is on food sharing, it is also a way to bring people together and create a reposeful atmosphere.

The brand name actually derives from the French word ‘cocotte’, which designates a pot in which food can be both cooked and served. It is widely used in France, often made of cast-iron and often associated to hearty food, whereby they are particularly well suited for both long and slow cooking, like roasts, stew s and casseroles, as well as handed-down recipes such as beef bourguignon, pot-au-feu and roast chicken. It was said first originated from the Netherlands in the 17th century as the English name (Dutch oven) indicates it.

As making sure their guests are enjoying and having convivial experience at Cocott’ is their prime objective, all the dishes are great for sharing and earnestly prepared ala minute. The enclave is enchantingly set up with wide pane and ceiling-high glasses surrounding the area allowing teeming natural lights to shine in exuberantly. Certainly in awe with that for any ardent glassy buff.

The 6 dishes set menu is available at MYR 212 and all plates are made to share which is ideal for 2 to 3 pax. And if you come in a group of wine aficionados, then go for the better treat which includes 1 bottle of wine at only MYR 442-I would opine that’s a pretty good deal! Guess will leave that for next round as till need to resume penning down the memorable Kiwi excursion, c’est la vie and merci!

But before that, let me fix my craving on buttery yet still flaky croissant despite being generously drenched with chocolaty goodness! It was from one of my fave bakery which serves up very good French patisserie especially my dear Caramel Danish that makes me fall in love with it during my first visit there ever since! Yummy!!
