The Social @ Publika, Solaris Dutamas

Definitely it’s the jovial time of the year to be celebrated merrily whenever St Nick’s festival is around the corner. Yeah, as some of you guys must have guessed it, we were here previously at The Social,  Publika,  to sorta celebrate our 2013 Christmas Eve with the rest of the nightingale folks here. Apologize for the late update though due to other concomitant tasks too, hehe.

Everywhere was really packed and full house that day! Well, what do you expect on a late happening night right? ^_^ But we were still quite lucky to have secured our al fresco seat at the corner after walk in to make our RSVP, hooray! ^_^

Environment was airy, comfy and casual-stirring mood, coupled with the rejoicing cheers from the surrounding guests, cajoling and toasting with each other around the table. The warm ambience actually helped to get you into the joyful atmosphere too.

Luckily our orders were attended pretty fast.  Oh by the way, their menu is pretty cool too with the many iconic butterflies around depicting the myriad of F&B that they offer.

Gets the night started with some foamy Heineken and Brandy Coffee! Cheers !

Draught Beer Heineken (MYR22- pint)

Brandy Coffee (MYR 22)
The Brandy Coffee appeared quite interesting to me. Concocted by incorporating Hennessy VSOP and coffee allows you to have a swift body fragrance of Americano before greeted by the faint traces of oak wood aroma with a slight hint of licorice taste in the brandy. Quite smooth though, albeit still remains as acquired taste to me : )

The Social Ploughman’s Platter (MYR 42)
Arrived at our table first was The Social Ploughman’s Platter as our Sharing Platter. Medley of food that was colourfully and delicately presented on the wooden board instantly reminds me of the sumptuous French dining at Petite Mille. Ok, that aside, some reminiscence:)

This platter was just nice for 2 people’s portion. This delightful combo came with  slices of fresh smoked Salmon, med dips of hummus and moutabel, salmon and crab croquettes, cheddar, turkey ham, olives and branston pickle together with Panini bread. The bread was pleasantly crusty on the outside and fluffy within, deliciously sandwiching the varieties of hearty sides that came with the platter board.

Healthy burger indeed for the late night, less guilt-ridden....hehe....

Nachos (MYR 18)
As for the small eats, we preferred the Nachos, as Mr Cool seems to be very fancy and eager about it, who usually would order that snacks whenever seen available, haha. Topped with mouthful of guacamole, cheese sauce and sour cream, there were hidden treasures of tomato salsa, jalapenos and minced chilli chicken encased by the bed of generous crunchy nachos.
Glad that I joined suit for this sinful food crime, as it was really loveable, crispy amidst some smokiness from the baked chips, and best enjoyed the soonest possible, else, the chips get hardened and soggy pretty fast over the melted cheese. Yummm…….

Just love and adore the dainty ribbon- plated sour cream squeeze : )

Marvellous night!

After a wondrous feast, the tummy surely deserves some relaxing strolling around the open space at Publika against the lush green landscape.

Of course, not forgetting to bring along the big baby Canon, in front of junior Lumix : )

Even though the 2013 has just ended, I guess it is still alright to wish you guys a very blessed and wonderful New Year ahead ya. May you guys have more fruitful achievement and fulfilling enjoyment in the Horse Year ahead ya.

Cheers and toast for everyone! Ho ho ho…..
