LWIN LEE | VIVO AMERICAN PIZZA & PANINI @ TIMES SQUARE

So as to take respite from some errands running in the vicinity on one lazy Sunday, eventually decided to give this chic café a try.

So must so that pizza is one of the signature here, I had decided to give its other menu selection a try as my diet has been inundated with pizza fares for the past one week. And so, ordered some light and seemingly promising bites to sorta satisfy the binging craving.

CRISPY CHICKEN (MYR 13.90)
Served with BBQ sauce and a choice of Parmesan, Oregano, Oatmeal or Italian bread.
At first glance, this sandwich should remind you of Subway’s doppleganger with the familiar hearty selection of breads. As usual, I would definitely go for Oatmeal type, for the insinuative palate that ensures a better post-prandial energy levels thereafter (=

Texture wise was good, bread if fluffy and soft with slight crispiness on the crust. As for the fried chicken fillet, the meat is agreeably juicy and crispy on the outside. Somehow or rather, the overall combination seems rather dry and there is when I ask for some tartar sauce to compliment it- which is also good to go with my favourite nosh after that; French fries!

GREEN TEA LATTE (MYR 6.90)

A cuppa from the Lavazza Coffee blend, which sadly, did not pull off that well which had rendered a not so memorable maiden experience of this franchise. It’s not due to the brand, as I have savoured its other range but still commendable.  However, the beverage over here tasted very diluted, without much green tea aroma in it. There were also a lot of floating loose bubbles on the top (which could be quite annoying as it served no purpose other than to make the drink further tasteless and lack of body). I know the fact that this is not a gourmet coffee-serving outlet, but I would appreciate a  decent cup of Joe is served, where it at least lives up to its menu’s name with adequate milkiness and the essential green tea flavor- even without the bubbles, it’s totally fine.

I hope the relevant management would look into this matter, perhaps some fine-tuning on the basic coffee preparation methodology again, since the feedback doesn’t seem to be taken constructively when related to the outlet’s manager, who seems to be more on the denial stand, rather than to have an ear for the customer’s opinion.

Food for thought…………….
