On the lookout for some comfy place to savour honest and scrumptious meal with your loved ones? Perhaps it might interest you to check out this humble cafe of Momento 7, which has been delighting the folks of Klang Valley since July 2014 with its array of awesome twist of French- Italian fusion creations that includes pasta, poultry, dessert and coffee alike.

  

Located at the neighbourhood of Bandar Puteri Puchong, this café is owned and managed by two young entrepreneur-cum-chef, Dennis and his compatriot, who both also come from cullinary background. Hence, diners could expect more innovatively crafted and improved repast from these two potential food connoisseurs :)

Those little cutesy bric-a-bracs also helps to enliven the atmosphere with some aesthetic touches too. Me for one, have great appreciation towards embellishments especially those of victorian era for such element somehow adds splendour to the venue naturally.

First dish to kick off the review session is its signature poultry fare, teriyaki chicken.

MOMENTO 7’S TERIYAKI CHICKEN BOWL – MYR 13.90

As the name suggests, each of the chopped chicken meat (choice of chicken or beef) is well-coated with teriyaki sauce  after some brief stir-frying beforehand. Unlike the common teriyaki marinade  that we used to desribe as sweet and savory, the one that Momento 7 inhouse-calibrated relish, seems to tickle your palates more on the mild briny side. The exterior remains decently crispy albeit drenched with teriyaki sauce all over together with the combination of secret recipe eggs and rice. Each grain of rice is thoroughly enveloped with the fragrance of egg as the beaten egg is left to be cooked by mixing it with the steamy hot rice earlier before serving with the teriyaki chicken bites!

Ah, a helping of salad as appetizer; CEASAR SALAD – MYR 13.90

A wholesome bowl vibrantly filled with fresh crisp romaine lettuce mixed with juicy cherry tomatoes, crunchy breadcrumbs, quail eggs and then tossed with Momento 7’s homemade dressing with some sprinkles of  parmesan cheese powder.

SIGNATURE POULET GRILLE (GRILLED CHICKEN) – MYR 16.90

Momento 7’s signature “French-style” grilled chicken. To my utmost surprise, the thigh meat is really wonderfully marinated, full of robust sapidity that outbeat the common grilled chicken i thought earlier. Instead, the meat came tenderly done alongside delicious sautéed veggie and lovely baked potato that is lightly salted to my delights, yummy!!!

NEW ENGLAND FISH & CHIPS – MYR 14.90

Coming up next, here you go! A generous treat to the fans of fish dishes. Prime cut of white dory fish fillet evenly breaded with crispy batter before gorgeously deep fried till golden brown and served with my de facto snacks- french fries, besides freshly made purple coleslaw.

PAN FRIED, DEEP SEA SALMON – MYR 24.90

Freshly peppered and flaky salmon that is perfectly pan-fried to retain the juiciness and served with buttered capsicum, French beans, corn, carrot and baked potato.  The potatoes are such an enjoyable side for the saltiness that comes with it is just light enough to enhance the overall flavor. Thumbs up!

CARBONARA SALMON (PASTA) – MYR18.90

Had not enough of salmon? Then find delights in this plate of classic Alfredo-drenched fettuccine pasta, which is nicely mixed with Salmon bites, mushroom and with a hint of garlic and before spiced up  with ebiko for more luscious seafood treat and garnished with some cubes of colorful bell peppers.

SCALLOP LINGUINI (PASTA) – MYR 18.90

Gratifying bites of fresh half dozen of hotate, pairing with herbs and spices that is perfectly cooked with the al dente linguine. Awww....... Simple execution but the scallops are real juicy!

CLASSIC ITALIAN SEAFOOD CIOPPINO (PASTA) – MYR 20.90

Fans of seafood stew would be thrilled to have this toothsome dish all by their own, where assorted seafood such as squids, prawns and mussels are all deliciously cooked in the flavourful broth. Try this perfect match of seafood, herbs and spices all in a pan today, just like the classic way the Italians have it……..

TOM YAM SEAFOOD SPAGHETTI (PASTA) – MYR 19.90

Craving for seafood more? Then this locally-infused taste would just tickle your palate more! Unlike the conventional seafood pasta, this plate by Momento 7 is creatively cooked in traditional Thai tom yam recipe that unleash a new pasta experience that is beyond your imagination.  If you have a yen for some spicy and sour grubs, then this is a must try for you!
