My Burger Lab @ Seapark, Petaling Jaya
Lately,
there has been some weekly chase for food almost every Friday, which I know
could be hurtful to both health and pocket :D Nevertheless, we still know how to balance out the both
worlds then :D
I
have been hearing about the mushrooming gourmet burgers in town and they even
sprout faster than any other F&B chains. It seems to be a hype now, but
most importantly, we are looking for something that is real good and worth the
penny:D And so, we bump into My Burger Lab, located at Seapark, after just a
brief ‘googling’ 2 hours earlier upon the onset of the hungry pangs at night :D
It
was quite an incomprehensible sight to see a long queue for some burgers in the
middle of the late evening. Much puzzling that the row of shops doesn’t seem to
be alive or catering any food service, except this shop, which surely aroused
some curiosity. So we went to join the long queue as well, and slowly, it’s
making some sense I suppose :D
The
place is said to be packed every day and popular amongst all walks of life. The
business is doing very good even just a short operation hour from 5 pm to 10.15
pm. It still garners throngs of customers in and rest assured, the place is
actually quite pack! Thank God that there are helpful and friendly staff that
helps us to get a decent place for two at one corner, while appreciating the
merry atmosphere in a humble shop :D
Sloppy
Bella
It’s
true as I heard. The charcoal bun is real a joy to have! It’s delectably fluffy
and soft. I wonder do they made inhouse or source it out from outside. But when
it’s coupled with the minced meat in between, layered with Swiss Cheese, it’s
one temptation you hard to resist from. It’s indeed an extraordinary way of
enjoying burger by making bolognaise minced chicken as the meat filling to be
sandwiched between. The minced meat is actually very juicy and savory in the
sauce, and when you actually bite on them, they would just ooze out wonderfully
:D I guess it perfectly fit its name then; feel free to enjoy sloppily :D
Underneath the minced meat is the grilled Portobello Mushroom that is really
juicy and succulent. This gigantic mushroom is actually of firmer texture and
more juicy. It has since raised the ubiquitous way of savoring burger to the
next level.
A++
Chicken
For
a new patron to My Burger Lab who are spoilt of choices of what to order, you
could go with the original and signature A++ Burger. You could either have it
with Beef or Chicken. In my case, the latter make the best choice.
The
A++ Burger comes with a chicken meat patty, sandwiched between lettuce,
tomatoes and some cucumbers. As you sink your teeth in it, you would be able to
enjoy the crispiness of the vegetables as well as the tender meat of the patty.
The chicken meat patty tastes more like a grilled chicken fillet in fact. This
combination is then further heightened up by adding cheddar cheese for some
saltiness hint. Compared to Sloppy Bella, this is much drier and I suggest to
go for the former if you’re a real cheesy junkie :D Burgerlicious!
Rosemarry
Fries & Bottomless Drinks
Thinking
that an ala carte burger would be tad boring? Then add on another RM6 for fries
and bottomless drinks to complete it as a set. I guess the fries really deserve
some credits. Not only they are thick and soft, you also get to enjoy the
fluffiness of them with some tinge of rosemary herbs that has been dashed
earlier on. Another special relish that comes together is the inhouse made
chilli sauce apart from the mustard. The orangey sauce could easily be mistaken
as thousand island sauce till you dip into it. It’s very flavourful and you
can’t help but to ask more for it :D Later I get to know from the staff that
it’s actually homemade chilli sauce which I think pretty special, plus it’s
creamy as well!
Their homemade chilli sauce is really special and toothsome. Dont' buy me? Give it a try yourself :D
