LWIN LEE | Muugu Garden Bistro, Bar & Grill @ Off Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
Tucked away in the lush green patio slightly off Jalan Bukit Bintang,
houses another new gastropub in town, Muguu
Garden Bistro, that has a decently large parking space for its patrons,
located at the adjacent purlieu. Patrons could opt to dine in al fresco or
within the confines of its comfy air-conditioned space. Naturally, we opt for
the latter option for it seems to be the most ideal pick to have our lunch
during such thermic weather……..unless sun-tanning is part of your plan
currently (=
Ambience is cozy and spacious, giving rise to some homey feel upon
stepping in. Wide and tall panel glasses serves you visually by letting the
diners to enjoy the scenery of the exterior garden at the comfort of your
cooling environment.
Value lunch sets are also available daily from 12pm – 2.30pm, thus
allowing nearby white-collared workers to have more choices when it comes to
daily lunch break, which is seem to be diminishing due to the geographical expansion
of the ongoing MRT construction everywhere.
Each lunch set comes with soup or the day or salad, soft drink, coffee
or tea, to accompany your preferred main dish.
But before savoring the mains, let’s warm up the tummy with some freshly
baked olive bread, which are served complimentarily. They are a really fluffy
and pillowy companion, as well as amusing to the taste bud, coupled with the
addictive bites of roughly chopped black olives, to go along with the
vinegar-olive oil relish.
Aglio Olio (MYR 17)
~ Sauteed in olive oil and lightly topped with red chilies and fried
garlics.
Salad, to provide the
essential fibre intake………….
Oven Roasted
Braised Chicken Thigh (MYR 23)
~ Tender thigh of chicken braised in a white wine sauce, served with mixed
greens and sauteed potatoes.
Pesto Pasta
with Chicken (MYR 19)
~ Served with tender chicken breast, and topped with walnuts and
parmesan cheese. Somehow or rather, I could also sense some humble presence of
goat cheese too, surprisingly.
Ah, not forgetting the sweet Pumpkin
Soup.
However, I prefer my soup to be much thicker in consistency, similar to
the one I had at Spassio Milano,
which is creamily and intelligently concocted.
Tiramisu (MYR 12)
~ The famous Italian dessert.
Chocolate
Fondant (MYR 13)
~ Lava choc cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Just love the idea of letting the chocalaty lava flows freely onto the plate.........or even to the bank of the vanilla scoop! ^_^
All
in all, a nifty addition to this precinct, providing a respite from the hustling
of the metropolis :)
