TRAVEL DAY 4 - AUSTRALIA DAIRY COMPANY 澳洲牛奶公司 | 5D 4 N @ HONG KONG & MACAU

Glad that after a hiatus from my previous Hong Kong trip sharing due to several trips that ensued, we are finally back to resume sharing the wonderful moments we had spent in the cosmopolitan city of glitters; Hong Kong.

Charming yatchs
Tranquility at its best!

So after  a day of oceanic exploration the day before at world famous Ocean Park, we started off the very next morning by having hearty breakfast that is popular among its local folks, which is the long standing Australia Dairy Company.

Dubbed as the every day’s breakfast of Hongkie, this brisk eatery is widely visited for its day-to-day meal of toast, pasta and milk tea. To put it a simple way- the humble version of Western breakfast! =)

So by default, we went with the signatures; Breakfast Set that comes with your choice of pasta soup and tea.

Toast with Scrambled Egg and Chicken Ham.
The bread slices were nicely lightly toasted (I don’t’ quite fancy over charred toastie), served with ham and fluffy scrambled egg. Not sure what they added in the egg mash as it tasted rather creamy and smooth, guessing could it be milk? You can also add some pepper to taste.

For the pasta, we decided to go with 2 different types, so we can try out the different texture. Between the spaghetti and macaroni, I think it’s safe to go with the former one, if you’re one like me who don’t quite enjoy starchy bites that can be quite floury at times. Soup wise, was alright, thought bit buttery saltish but the ‘char siew’ (barbequed pork) in the pasta soup seems rather promising. Initially, I actually thought they were smoked duck looking at the appearance, don’t you think so? Having said that, I still prefer our usual locally glazed char siew with a nice caramel coat on the exterior (=

No complains on the silky milk tea by all means.

The order come and goes pretty fast, so we finished our meal in less than 30 minutes, after sharing the table with local patrons there. Looking at the ever crowded throngs of people in the premises, we left the place soon after Romeo decided to show me a unique place that is not usually within the touristy radar after his impromptu sharing and got me hooked on with the far, far away hidden enclave that houses a peaceful westernized town away from the metropolis)

And guess what? I literally fell head over heels for that lovely place that we soon discovered and it’s definitely love at first sight for me ……………………………

LOVE at first sight indefinitely!!

Time to start honing some guessing skill now perhaps? Wonder where is the place? It’s white and blue with vast horizon. The cat would be let out from the bag in next post coming up real soon (unless you had got it right, then kudos to you)! ^^

Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ❤ℒℴѵ
