TRAVEL | PERTH DAY 5 @ AUSTRALIA

In the the wink of an eye, we have finally reached our fifth day of our travel stint in WA. Along the way, there would be some surprises that serve as a learning experience so we can do better planning next time, besides also striking new friendships from genial camaraderie rendered by the nice folks that we met during our sashay towards the South of West Australia.

Ultimately, all those bechancing moment has enriched our travel in many beautiful ways that we would be happy to share it again and again and cherish it for a long, long time………

So how does our Day 5 started from Pemby and along the course towards Augusta? Check them out in this simplified rundown or click into the respective individual posts should it appeals to you for more drill down info.

Before we really left Pemby for Augusta, we dropped by The Crossings Bakery to make it up back to my last night “endurance” from the upset tummy- at least I did try some local delights right? And so I thought, hehe……

Diamond Tree? What first came to your mind? Diamond for real? Hehe…………

Do take note that you would need to climb up about 52 metres above the ground in order to reach Diamond Tree Look Out for that picturesque view! Make sure you’re ready for it as it’s not advisable to make a sudden turning back when you’re halfway up- cause there’s only 1-way trail, meaning you might be trapped in between other climbers- potential human congestion hanging up in the middle of nowhere in the air in case you decide to  give it a quit suddenly, haha :D

As soon as we’ve done the fun climbing at Diamond Tree in Manjimup (it was my first time though, hehe), we swiftly headed over to the captivating lighthouse in order to make the best out of the very blessed nice weather on that day.

Seeing that familiar and much anticipating view of vast blue horizon and ocean immediately rejuvenated us once again! We were already able to spot the tall lighthouse from afar while still some 30 minutes’ drive away from the destination. Of course, we took the opportunity to also snap some beautiful sunny picture as we passed by the splendid coastal road of Cape Leeuwin.

After a quick browsing at our mansion stay in Augusta so called, we drove to the nearby beach about 15 minutes or so, that was known to be popular with stingrays. And then only we recalled it was one of the intended place to visit in our itinerary- Hamelin Bay! It’s one of the beautiful beaches in the southern part of Margaret River regions.

The sandy beach was really nice for a leisure and carefree stroll, watching the day passed by tardily while the golden sun gracefully set down.

And deep inside one of the corner of the heart, wishing if could come back again in the future in summer perhaps, so that we could get upclose-and-personal to those friendly Eagle Stingray and Smooth Stingray which we did not have a chance to greet this time round, but worry not cause we have much more instored in our upcoming journey. Let's stay resourceful, shall we? (=

Soon after the sun set in beautifully at Hamelin Bay, it’s the anticipating moment again before finally calling it a day.

As we wandered around light-heartedly, amidst the eventide betided town, we stumbled upon another must-have local delights- fish and chips, after the previous yummy experience at Ocean and Paddock in Albany, as well as Eriks Fish & Chips in Queenstown last year.

Blue Ocean Fish and Chips was located next door to the Augusta Visitor Center and well-loved by both locals and visitors. It does not come as a surprise since this humble family-operated eatery with friendly staff, is situated precisely in the heart of a sea side town where you are guaranteed of various fresh catch.

Hence, don’t forget to pop in for some yummy and earnest fish and chips whenever you are down south!

And our travel journey continues....................
